I chose to feature this newly published book of prose and poetry by Sally Rosenthal for the theme of “Pilgrimage” today. I love the word, pilgrimage and the historical context that it holds in the literary world for centuries. As I begin reading one by one, I wonder, if  this will be  a physical journey to  a sacred shrine or cathedral, a holy place:   Is this pilgrimage  a metaphysical journey with a destination that is not yet revealed?   Will the poems take the reader to to a ore-planned destination?  Are there other participants on this journey?___Quote from A Book Commentary from Lynda McKinney Lambert today.

Lynda’s Journal of Blessings – #754 – Coming Home

When they contact me to say they are “coming home” it’s a welcome message.  Despite the miles between us, there is nothing like those messages that tell me they are coming home.  No matter what I was in the process of doing, everything shifts immediately from my plans for the day, to my expectations for their welcome arrivals.   My  day turns to the anticipated arrival of one of  our children, or any of the other family members.
