If you are new to my blog posts, I am an author and an artist, who lives in western Pennsylvania.

__My Thoughts
I hope you enjoyed the music and are feeling rested and renewed as I begin to share today’s blessing for this week.
I began my journey through this year with 365 days ahead of me.
My ONE WORD is “365 Days.” Thank you for coming to visit.
Today’s blessing is BEGINNINGS. We all need to know that there is always a moment when we can begin again. I hope you are able to just relax today, and pray about this day, and seek out what God has for you to begin again.
My focus is always on the Word of God, the Holy Bible, where we meet our Creator, and discover the beginnings of everything that exists. Reading the Bible helps us to understand our world, today, and how we can believe and embrace our Creator. But best of all, as I read the Bible I see that there is always a time when we can begin again, to live the life God has planned for us.
A prayer of blessings can change every aspect of your day.
If there is one thing I have specialized in in my life, it is the choice to begin again.
When I receive my “one word” on January first, each year, it is a way of BEGINNING AGAIN.
We all face various times and seasons, and we adjust as we live out our lives. I hope to adjust through the years and strive to become closer to our God and to listen for His voice as he coaches me on my pathway through the years. Learning to listen for His voice helps us to stay focused on following the life plan he created for us, individually. There is no other person who will ever be like you!
I like this scripture, if I begin to look at someone else and think I should be more like that person.
We try to control our life. But, perfection is not to be desired, nor is it good practice. It is self-centered, remote, and it burns up our time in ways that are not worthy of who God created us to be. We need to know that each morning, we can begin again. I begin each day by speaking JOY for the day. I say aloud, “Today I choose JOY. It is a choice, always, how our day will begin. The choice is ours to make, so do it wisely.
Below: I consider 3 of the blessings available to begin:
#1_We can begin anew each morning.
There is not a need to look back over our shoulder to see what we missed yesterday. It’s over. Put it behind you and begin again for the discoveries for this new day. Allow Jesus to be your guide for moving into this new day. Seek him when you open your eyes each morning.
The Creator of Time will walk with us on a new journey for TODAY. Decide what you will embrace and speak it aloud.
As for me, I choose JOY. I say it aloud as soon as I wake up. I greet Jesus, our creator, God, and the Holy Spirit, fresh and new each morning. And I declare, “I choose Joy today.”It is truly that easy. Don’t worry about what you say, or how you say it. Our Father is there and he is waiting with boundless joy, to greet the new morning with us. What will you choose to say to him in the morning. Say it with a smile and a heart full of gratitude.
#2_
Seek to be balanced as you determine to begin again. Be thankful that you have this option and that you don’t have to be burdened down with past failures, decisions, or mistakes. Simply, confess your failures to Jesus and ask him to forgive you and you are set free to be who God created you to be.
I love the advice that Cory Ten Boom said about this. She responded that as God forgives us for our sins, he tossed them into the deepest sea. And he put up a sign that reads, “No Fishing!” Now, you can truly begin again, fresh, and new, forgiven and now, you have a guide for life, for every day.
#3_
Seek out what the Bible has to say. Here, while reading the Bible, is where you will experience a personal conversation with God. He speaks to us through His Word. There are a number of programs that provide a guide through the Bible, or you can simply take it on your own. I read the Bible slowly. I have no limits as to the amount I will read, or when. I do know that the more I read the Bible, the more I learn about myself and about humanity, and God’s plan for us.
__Scripture
he Ultimate Verse on Unique Creation
- Psalm 139:14: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Read the full text on Bible Gateway).
Each person is completely unique. If we are striving and searching to find a “soulmate” we can never do that for God designed each of us and gave us gifts that are for us alone. If we begin looking at someone else and thinking we should be more like that person, we are really off the tracks and we will not be content, nor satisfied in life.
Today, I was outside working most of the day. As a gardener, I am well acquainted with weeds. We spend many hours in our gardens removing the weeds that would choke out the flowers. For me the most destructive weed is the morning glory vines. If they are not removed from the garden area, all of our flowers and plants and bushes would be destroyed because the morning glory vines are ruthless. They wind themselves tightly around all of the other plants and flowers and choke them. I have to be vigilant about searching my gardens for these deadly plants. But while I am working in the gardens, I can feel that sense of Joy as I am working. I can actually say that I love weeding the gardens because I know how nice they will look and how strong and healthy my flowers and plants will be if I take diligent care of them.
I love Psalms because they are so personal. I love to read passages aloud. When we begin to read God’s Word aloud it changes the atmosphere in our home and it fortifies our spirit. We begin to feel grounded, as we read these words. They change us.
Psalm 90:17, which reads:
“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands” (NIV)
__Daily Action Plan
_Consider something that you do that keeps you focused on making your life more joyous.
It can be something as simple as taking the weeds out of your flower garden or watering your plants in the morning . The simplest things that we do can become a joy, and it is all in how we choose to begin the day. As for me, I choose Joy.
I’ll include one more song, to begin the day with JOY. Listen Here.

How I Found JOY in EACH DAY in Unexpected Changes:
I discovered a new life after sudden sight loss. For the next two years, I learned to see the world and my place in it in an entirely new way. I completed training for Personal Adjustment to Blindness, It took two years of training and lots of challenging work to learn to read and write using adaptive technologies for the blind. Ad the months went by, God was showing me that my creative life would continue,, but in some new ways.
I began to write Divinely inspired life lessons
New experiences and God-directed Opportunities
New DISCOVERIES to share with the world
A NEW SEASON on the Narrow Path with Jesus.
