__My Thoughts
I began my journey through this year with 365 days ahead of me.
My ONE WORD is “365 Days.”
This is my 12th year to live out “one word” for an entire year. I began this way of living twelve years ago. Wow, a dozen years! I concentrate on one word. I like bringing myself back to BASICS. One day at a time. I am staying focused on ONE DAY, the present day, during each day of 2026.
Today, I decided to stop what I am doing so I can really see where I am right now.
__Self-discovery begins with a look into our worldview:
**Who am I?
**What am I doing?
**Why am I here?
**Where am I going?
These questions help us begin to see our WORLD VIEW.
How do we see the world and our place in it? More about a World View HERE
Every person has a world view.
Our world view guides our entire life, and most people are completely in the dark about their own world view. The days and months swiftly go by, and they never stop to think about how their worldview developed and how their entire day is guided by their worldview, in one direction or another.
The best tribute about a worldview is that we can change it. It is entirely up to us how we will live our life, and why we choose to think about everything in a particular way. Our world view is visible in everything we write, speak, think, and even how we spend our money, and our time every day of the year. Our world view changes as we learn and experience through examining our own history, as well as the historical context of who we are, and what we choose to think about every day.
Below: I consider 3 of the blessings available to me:
#1_
Getting up exceedingly early each morning
brings satisfaction at the end of the day. I can sit down and think about how the day went, what I did, and how the day progressed. I am thinking about the activities of this past week and my own personal journey. How did I spend the time?
What did I do each day?
How did I stay focused on each “day” instead of allowing my thoughts to blast me with an enormous array of activities and wasted time in my days?
I am certain that God is a God of order. If my thoughts are confusing, cluttered, and there is constant discord in my work,, they are not thoughts that are in God’s plan for my life or my creative work.
We can listen for God’s direction, and it will be clear. God does not dwell in confusion or uncertainty. We can choose to unclutter our days, by intention. Life is not a guessing game. His directions are clear through all the generations since the beginning of time.
#2_
Developing a conscientious awareness of contentment
I recognize the blessings of the day when in partnership with the Holy Spirit. Years ago, I asked Jesus into my life. That meant I now have a helper who lives in me – the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit arrived and accepted residence IN me when I asked Jesus to be Lord of my life. We have choices to make every day. I chose to live according to the instructions of our Father God. We need the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to be complete and whole. They are the source of all of our blessings.

I am focused on saying things better in my conversations, my writing, and in my art.
I want to focus on clarity, specificity, and active language. I am working to replace vague words with precise ones, use strong verbs over adverbs, and tailor my tone to my audience or readers. I learned this through my conversations with an editor who published my poetry many times. He would urge me to be specific and to name a thing, and to be precise. This is a lifelong goal that I have in my writing.
For example, if I am talking about a bird I will name that bird.
Our readers cannot envision the scene we are speaking about in our poem or essays, unless we give the particular name of it.
If writing about my gardens, I will tell you the names of the flowers and the particular things that are identifiable with that plant.
Look at your own work and see how you are describing the things which you are writing.
What flower?
Which place?
Exact location of this place?
What species?
Today, I mark 158 days into the year, 2026.
“There is another 207 days remaining in the year, to live out my theme of “BLESSINGS.”
What I choose each day is directed by my World View.
It is remarkably interesting to read the work of others. If we are aware of the various aspects of a world view, we can usually know very quickly what that author’s world view is. Our world view is always apparent in our writing, speech, actions, activities, gifting, listening, looking, and in our art.
__Scripture
I love Psalms because they are so personal. I love to read passages aloud. When we begin to read God’s Word aloud it changes the atmosphere in our home and it fortifies our spirit. We begin to feel grounded, as we read these words. They change us.
Psalm 90:17, which reads:
“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands” (NIv)
__Daily Action Plan
1_Read a passage in Psalms. You can pick just one verse to dwell on, each day.
You might like to read a passage each day this week, and discover what God has to share with you through that psalm?

FYI: My Background:
Professor Lynda McKinney Lambert taught studio art, Art History, English Literature and humanities at Geneva College in Western Pennsylvania, She was a tenured professor, an actively exhibiting artist, and a published author.
I created exciting courses across the disciplines – Art –
English Literature – Humanities.
My courses in fine art, English, and Humanities were taught on campus during the spring and fall semesters. In the summer, I taught in Salzburg, Austria for a month of travel and studies. My students traveled to several European countries with me each summer and our home base was in Salzburg, Austria for a month of learning. We made art and we wrote in our journals as we traveled by plane, bus, railroad, and on foot.
My passions in academia are poetry and fine art. I author books and I create fine art in several mediums – Painting and Fiber Art.
How I Found JOY in EACH DAY in Unexpected Changes:
I discovered a new life after sudden sight loss. For the next two years, I learned to see the world and my place in it in an entirely new way. I completed training for Personal Adjustment to Blindness, It took two years of training and lots of challenging work to learn to read and write using adaptive technologies for the blind. Ad the months went by, God was showing me that my creative life would continue,, but in some new ways.
I began to write Divinely inspired life lessons
New experiences and God-directed Opportunities
New DISCOVERIES to share with the world
A NEW SEASON on the Narrow Path with Jesus.
