Edited and Designed at DLD Books, Denver, ColoradoAre you expecting a package to be delivered to your home today?
We live in a time when we can order almost anything we can dream of, and have it delivered right to our home or business. Like many of you, I have Prime and get many packages from Amazon. I no longer drive and have very limited visits to physical stores due to profound sight loss for the past 19 years. Thus, Shopping on-line works very well for me most of the time.
One thing I love to order is books. Amazon is the place where I can purchase nearly any book I am looking for. In particular, I am searching for books of poetry, and books that are written by authors who write from a Christian World View. I also order books written by friends who are poets and non-fiction writers. This is my niche of interest developed over the years of growing through academic scholarship.
As we begin our reading journey, we will develop a taste for favorite authors. As we mature through our reading experiences, over the years, we will change. New authors will become favorites, and some former favorites will fade into the past because we are still developing, forever.
During the decades of higher education, we narrow down our focus to take a deeper path into what is particularly of personal interest in our education years. As my three degrees reveal, I have a deep love for fine art and English literature (Poetry).
For me, the path during those years was my interest in poetry and in my faith. Thus, as the decades have passed, I’ve collected books that are valuable to me, and books by particular American poets and Christian writers.
Yes, it is true. Packages arrive and some of those packages contain the first copies of a newly published book. I took this photo of a package of books, left on my porch in April 2017.
What was in this package?
The box contained the first copies of my new book, Walking by Inner Vision: Stories & Poems.
You can imagine how my discovery of this package changed my entire day. I am sure I was smiling the entire day – and beyond. When I held this new book in my hands for the first time, I really have no words that would convey that feeling of happiness and joy at the finished product I had working on for TEN years!
The first ten years of sight loss were difficult and challenging. I had to learn new ways of reading and writing. This first book, written during those first 10 years, brought new life to me and gave me the opportunity to live on this new path of writing making art in new ways.
Scripture_
Isaiah 28:10 (NKJV)
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, and there a little.
Question:
Do you realize that God’s deepest desire is for you to grow IN Him?
Reading Gods WORD will bring growth to you as you learn the precepts.
_Daily Action Plan
1_Treat yourself to a new devotional book! Spend some time in a favorite book store, or an on-line book store, and see what books are there that would be interesting to you.
2. Perhaps you might select a new author or poet, and purchase a book by that person.
3. Consider what you are looking for. Seek out a book that will fit your description of what you are looking for. Listen to your heart. Go shopping!
I recommend books by Brenda Kunneman. on Amazon

A Question?
What inspired me to begin writing my Sunday morning posts about BLESSINGS?
In the month of November 2025, I participated in a 21-day Challenge to write three blessings each day. At the end of the 21 days, I wanted to keep writing a blessing for each week and publish it as a blog post every Sunday morning.
Your comments and prayers inspire the best in me.
Thank you for sharing my Sunday Blessings.
