Bob and I planted the Rhododendron bushes about 50 years ago. To the right of the photo is the view from the hilltop that shows our neighbors century house and garage.

The Poem:
In Springtime Gardens
flowers are coming to bud.
Wonder lives in the shadow of
glorious hillside shrubbery.
Beauty labors beside me in
evening light when I begin
to consider special floral projects.
Century-old concrete stairway
Rhododendron blooming in May
concealed beneath pinkish purple
inconspicuousness.

Lynda’s Reflection on this poem:
Through my poems, I celebrate the Creator of our bountiful and expansive created world.
I celebrate God’s gifts of inspiration, wisdom, truth, peace, comfort, healing, and most important, confirmation of eternal life through Jesus. My poems come to me as I pray and read the scriptures, and reflect on the liveliness of the changing seasons in my rural home in western Pennsylvania.
