From Lynda’s Journal – 41-line Pi Poem
From Lynda’s Journal – 41-line Pi Poem
This Pi Poem is in celebration of Pi Day – March 14, 2025
I Wonder – a 41 line Pi Poem
The Poem: without the syllable count. on each line:
I wonder
I wonder
how
I can write Pi
verse
from numerical
digits , when facts occasionally
vanish
difficult to obtain
quests often take me
off the grid
I slip off Pi path
lost in tangled strings of cyphers
Can you offer some useful advice?
Is authoring forty-line poems
possible without map of landscape?
consider
I might
fail again
lose count, or get somewhat confused,
information
overload overwhelms
my brain
I would like to resolve
challenge today
before I
begin my
next job assignment for today
fall weather
becomes
cooler with low temperatures
frost turns green grass stiff, sterling silver
slippery sidewalks
-0-
melting
in today’s late morning sunshine
My goal to write one Pi poem
before next March._I
need to deliver something great
prove to myself that I still
can
Below is the same poem but with the Pi Sequencing of numbers on each line.
I make a list of the Pi numbers before I begin writing.
This gives me the structure or grid, on which I develop a poem
This is using a left brain activity, to build on with my free-flowing right brain. A good combination of Hands and Brain working together.

My Writing Action Plan:
God has a life-affirming VISION for every person.
A unique personal plan is a foundational gift, given at birth.
Discover your personal gifts.
Discover the DREAM for your creative spirit.
Pray and ask God to reveal what he has planned for your life.
I promise, He answers in a way that might knock your socks off!
When the Holy Spirit gently whispers brilliant ideas and fresh discoveries, write it down.
Make it plain.
Running in circles?
God gives us a BRILLIANT PLAN that actually WORKS.
Seek God’s direction in all you do. Our Creator gives us all the guidance we will ever need.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
Now, it is your turn to write a Pi Poem!
Let me know if you write a Pi Poem.
I would love to read it. This is really a fun way to write a poem.
