Ten Things of Thankful Blog Hop
One: An afternoon nap on a super-charged Friday.
Two: Our daughter’s help at the grocery store and help in getting the groceries put away when we got home.
Three: Readers who sent me notes in response to my last TTOT post. Thank you!
Four: A flashlight that does not require batteries – I use it ever night when the dogs need to go outside.
Five: Writing poems in all seasons and in all circumstances. When I am not writing poems, I am thinking of writing poems as I walk through my day, in my mind.
Six: My dogs and I are early risers – my favorite time of the night is the Fourth Watch – and we are outside in all seasons. The night sky is glorious. There is an overall sense of majesty.
Seven: When I am walking in the snow, I am often thinking of all of the flower bulbs I planted in the fall. I envision them as stirring beneath the frozen earth, and growing roots, in preparation for a gran appearance on the early Spring stage. I know it is going to be a spectacular appearance once the curtain has lifted.
Eight: The mail delivery people. the ones who drive the rural delivery truck ad put the mail in a mailbox along the road. Also, the ones who trudge through the snow and walk over ice to bring the packages to my porch. I wave and shout out to them, “Thank You.”
Nice: Dinner with my husband and our daughter last night at a little local restaurant. They had dinner and I had breakfast. I also had a supernatural revelation while dining and you can read about it in my post on The Evergreen Journal #5.
Ten: I am thnking as I sit in the darkness of my office this morning. I listen to the clock ticking on the wall and the traffic on the highway. I am most thankful that on such days I can stay home and enjoy my day as it unfolds.
A Joyful Bonus for Today!
