Last week, I mentioned this week’s topic: Shoes.

The Evergreen Journal #15 (Read it here.) 

I promised to write about SHOES. As it turned out, this topic is complex.

I wrestled with many different ways to go with my article.  

I admit that I am a shoe connoisseur. I am particular about the shoes I like. Next week, I will tell you how I set a goal that was so high it seemed impossible to attain.  Along with that GOAL, I vowed to give myself a REWARD when I hit the goal.  

What do you think I set as my REWARD?

I have to let you know I had a dozen ideas of what I wanted to say in this article. So I started writing it several times. Somehow, each time I wrote for a while on this topic, I had that gut feeling that what I wrote was just not  what I really wanted to say. I really do have a LOT to say about SHOES.

After some mental gymnastics and soul searching, I think I have put my finger on what it is about SHOES that captures my attention and what I want to share. 

This quote by designer Roger Vivier gave me insight into my love of shoes.

And, not just any shoes.

I’m very picky when it comes to what shoes I select.
