Day 7 – Topics:
Physical Therapy – Christy’s Family Restaurant – Carousel Poets
On Day 7 of the 21-day challenge.
I share 3 blessings that touch my heart and enrich my life.
Blessing 1: Physical Therapy
I’ve been visiting a physical therapist each Friday morning for a few weeks. He has a practice that is only 1/2 mile from my home. How convenient that is, since my granddaughter also lives beside that business and she drives across the bridge to my home to pick me up and take me to my therapy session. It has greatly helped me recover from a serious injury earlier this year.

Another local blessing is the diner-style restaurant, Christy’s Family Restaurant that has been in business near Ellwood City for decades.
It is about 2 miles from my home. I had brunch there with my granddaughter after my physical therapy treatment.
Blessing 3: Carousel Poets Group
At the end of this year, the Carousel Poets Group of six BOE poets, will complete 2 years of writing together each month, We choose topics that are challenging and fun. We each take a month or two during the year, to give a prompt or writing assignment for the group to use as a focus for a poem that month. just about every poem I have written during the two years has been published! Our little group began when we took a workshop together with Cindy Bousquet Harris. After our workshop ended we decided we would keep meeting and writing on projects because we all got along well.. It has been a very inspiring time together for us all, I think.

Final Word:
I don’t have to go very far from home, to find a good physical therapist, delicious home-style cooking, and companionship with other poets from different states via the internet and phone meetings.
