Day 4 Topics: Voting – Angel – Trash
On Day 4 of my 21-day challenge.
I share 3 blessings that touch my heart and enrich my life.
Blessing 1: Voting
I voted via mail in ballot. I don’t drive any more, and I am thankful that I can cast my vote by a Mail-in ballot.
My sister-in-law, Debby, visited me over the weekend and she helped me fill out my ballot. It was delivered to the county court house. As an American citizen it is important for us to pay attention to the beliefs of each candidate and evaluate them according to our core values. I watch carefully to the presentations of the candidates, and I listen to hear what they are promoting. This morning, I can sit back and enjoy watching the TV and see how the voting is going in different states all over America. And, I say “God Bless America today.
We have a list of things that are most important for us to live by: The Ten Commandments. As an American, I vote for candidates that uphold our belief in the eternal God, and we stand on our history, , In God we trust is a foundational belief and that phrase emphases the foundational of who we are as a nation.
Blessing 2: Angel
I am thankful to my granddaughter, Angel, for coming to my home yesterday when I was away all day. She cleaned my entire house, and when I came home after a long and tedious day of waiting in a doctor’s office for about 5 hours, it was an enormous blessing to come home and relax.
In addition to cleaning my home nearly every week, Angel provides transportation to me for visits to the vet with my cats, and getting groceries as needed. She runs packages to the Post Office, and pops in often to play with my cats, or just hang out for a while. Angel is a mother of 3 children, and
she is my only family that lives in this city. Angel really is MY ANGEL. She has battled breast cancer for over 1 year at this time, and just this week was released by her surgeon, to return to her work.
Blessing 3: Trash
I am blessed to have the trash and recycling carts picked up on Tuesday evening. This evening I will wheel the two carts to the curb. I say “curb,” but there is no curb here on a rural country road. One cart is blue (recycling), and one is grey (trash).Usually, before morning, I hear the garbage truck out there picking up the containers. I appreciate the men who are up all night long, gathering up our garbage every week.

Final Word:
If we write 3 blessings each day for 12 days we will have 63 blessings that we have shared with each other.
Amazing, isn’t it!
