Today’s Topics:
Day-Star and Cornerstone – Scholarship – Discernment
Day 13 of the 21-day challenge.
I share 3 blessings each day from my personal life experiences in western Pennsylvania.
Blessing 1: Day Star & Cornerstone TV
Today, I stop what I am doing for a while, and think about how much I am blessed to have two Christian TV Networks. As I am sitting on my sofa and knitting, I can enjoy music, prayer, interviews, authors of uplifting and positive books. In addition, I listen to thoughtful discussions and teachings by scholars of history and faith -based foundations. In God’s world, there is always good news, revelation knowledge, and Bible-centered programming 24/7. It is so refreshing to turn on these channels. What better way to spend my day, knitting a scarf to give to someone for Christmas, and listening and watching beautiful programming, too.
Blessing 2: Scholars
As a retired humanities professor, I always LOVE to watch and listen to a round table of scholars who are discussing a particular topic . I want to hear about the research they are doing and discoveries they are finding. I love to learn about new discoveries in the ancient past that give us new revelations of a culture and time period. I love to be a witness to revelations and historical context of ideas and history. I learn something new each day. I am a lifetime learner, always ready for new discoveries from the Creator of all that exists.
Blessing 3: Discernment
I am blessed as I discern what I need or do not need in my life. I am in the process of moving items from most of the rooms in my home in order to have new carpeting installed on November 17,
I am carefully considering everything to keep or to remove permanently. I am aware that we can have soul-ties with people as well as things. Both can distract us from our life purpose. I am thankful for discernment that guides me as I consider what will go and what will remain in my home.
Discernment is a spiritual gift that God grants to us when we stay focused on His path through life.
Final Word:
If you are feeling a bit lost at sea, and restless, be aware that God will make a way, where there seems to be no way. Miracles abound and our God never leaves us or forsakes us. Hold on!
