Nov. 10 – Topics:
Classmates – Faucet – The Best
Day 10 of the 21-day challenge.
I share 3 blessings each day from my personal life experiences in western Pennsylvania.
Blessing 1: Classmates
I am blessed to have friends who attended high school with me.
Each month we have lunch together.
local Lincoln High School Class of 1961.
This morning, I put together a gift package to give each classmate. Each package holds one of my published books – and I signed each of them. Since I have 6 books published, I divided them up, one for each of the 15 envelopes that are in my black leather briefcase, all ready to go.
I wanted to do something special as a little Blessing to each of them. I thought that this would be the most personal gift I could give them.
Blessing 2: Faucet
I woke up with one thought in mind.
Oh, No! I forgot to ask someone to shut off the water line to the outside of the house. I felt frantic, because the temperature went down to 31, and my water line might freeze up. A quick call to my granddaughter, who will come this afternoon after she is done working, to shut it off. I have no idea how to do this because it is one of the things my husband always took care of before winter sets in.
Blessing 3: The Best
Each person is born with spiritual gifts, given by God. We are spiritual beings, in a physical body. We are uniquely and beautifully made in the image of God. “Our Heavenly Father is a loving and personal God who wants us to have the best and to be the best.” (From, Know Your Ministry, by Marilyn Hickey and Sara Bowling.)
