Lynda Recommends:
Newly Published Poetry Collection
Russell Streur Nature Anthology II
Created and Published by North of Oxford
Thanks
North of Oxford
for including 3 of my nature-themed poems for the newly published
Russell Streur Nature Anthology.
Seventy-three poets are featured in two volumes of this remarkable collection of nature poems in memory of Russell Streur, editor of Plum Tree Tavern.
My poems appear in Volume II Here!
ALSO, Volume I is Here!
The poems reflect the nature that is around us. We do believe Russell would have been pleased with this anthology in his honor. We are publishing two volumes. Hope you enjoy them.

Below: My 3 Poems as they appear in this new Russell Streur Nature Anthology II.
__
Poem 1: Lyrical Melodies
Lyrical melodies are new each day
expressive movements hiding
deep inside rhododendron bush
male warblers singing
complex songs
practicing, impressing
females as courting begins..
__
Poem #2: Hardy Holly Bushes
Hardy holly bushes
resilient deep green leaves
sharp, thorny edges
survived wintry ice storms
clusters of red berries
ripe for Bluejay’s spring dining.
__
Poem #3: Western Pennsylvania Fields
Western Pennsylvania fields
turn black in mid-March
when flocks of golden-eyed Crackles
bold brown-headed Cowbirds
and handsome Black-winged Blackbirds
return for annual courtship
rituals, nest-building, and family
obligations.
