Poems, journal entries, meditations
Edited and Designed by DLD Books 2021.
Lynda expanded and revised a new edition of her first book, published by Kota Press in 2003.
This new book features original journal writings, meditations on the Psalms, photos and poems from 1988 to 2021.
Join the Pilgrimage and travel with me on an ever-expanding life journey from my rural home in western Pennsylvania to locations around the world.
My award-winning writings take readers through physical and spiritual journeys. I worked for nearly twenty years on the new book, searching through my journals for gems that will delight you and inspire you. Readers tell me they felt sad when they came to the end of the book . I wondered why they felt sad. I discovered that some readers did not want the book to end.
However, they soon discover that the end of the book is actually the beginning of the wonders they will experience in the future. Several readers told me they have the book on their night stand and read a portion each night before going to sleep. This book brings peace and comfort to them.

Lynda says –
In my new collection of thirty wintry-themed poems, I share snapshots of beauty, serenity and colors of nature. I reveal what others seldom see. My ability to articulate the unseen qualities of a season is my gift to you in this new chapbook..
What are others saying?
The vitality of the seasons is still felt, seen, and heard. Lambert notices the colors and sounds that surround us.

Walking by Inner Vision:
Stories & Poems
by Lynda McKinney Lambert
Published by DLD Books, 2017
16 Poems, 27 non-fiction essays, 182 pages
I wanted to take my readers on a year-long trip that begins in January, because winter is my favorite season. As we pass through the 12 sections of the book we experience the delights, perils, celebrations and hopes for the future as we build upon the history and heritage of the past.
I included many private and never before published stories from my own life and from my childhood as part of a Pennsylvania steelworker’s family. Each section opens with a poem for that month and it is followed by several essays and short stories. Many works in this book have received awards.

Poems Essays – Recreated Psalms
“I am grateful for Lynda Lambert’s healing tapestry of words spun of sounds, images and emotions.” — -Howardena Pindell, New York City
My first published collection of poems and historical notes and essays was created as my tenure project at Geneva College, Beaver Falls, Pa.
I developed my subject matter over a period of years as I traveled each summer to teach a course in Austria. My students and I traveled to several European countries to study the culture, art, music and history. My journal writings became the core of this first book. While we studied on-site, we also set up an art studio in a local shcool where we created art and did our writings in addition to our many travel days.
Nature – Landscape
Place – Journey
Physical & Spiritual Mystery
While my poems begin with keen descriptions of a place, I move the reader into a sense of mystery through powerful reflections and insistent music. Always there is the notion of both a physical and spiritual journey, a pilgrimage.
