Werfen Castle Chapel, Werfen, Austria

Holy Mary Mother of God

When I saw you last

you were dressed in beaten gold

bronze stars encircled your head

with your feet balanced on the sharp

crescent moon

I was forced to lift my eyes

towards heaven

as you watched me

light the votive candle

and linger awhile

in your presence.

Our Lady, we will meet again

Please remember me.
