FIRST – Find a Photograph that you like.<\/h5>\n

Let that photo\u00a0 become the\u00a0 inspiration\u00a0 to write.<\/p>\n

\u00a0My Steps to Create a Poem from a Favorite Photo:<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1._ Select a photograph that has special meaning for you.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2._ Sit quietly and look at the photo selected.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3._What colors do you see? <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

What do the colors make you think of as you look at the photo?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

4._Write a few adjectives (describing words) about the colors.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

5._Write some verbs (doing words) that reflect what the colors are doing in the photo? How does this make you feel?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

6._Write about\u00a0 the objects in the photo.
\n<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you see something you had not noticed previously? What is it?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

7._Take the list you made while contemplating the photo;\u00a0 arrange them into a poem.\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

2 Important TIPS to Remember – <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

FIRST – <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

You can add or remove words as you write the poem.\u00a0 I like to begin with many words. As I use those words I cross them off my list.\u00a0 You can move your words around as you\u00a0 are creating your poem.
\n<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Second-<\/h3>\n

A poem is made to be READ OUT LOUD. So, as you are organizing the poem, stop now and then and READ IT OUT LOUD to yourself.\u00a0 Listen to how your voice sounds as you read your poem. This helps a LOT when you are arranging and rearranging your lines.<\/p>\n

If a PHOTOGRAPH is worth a THOUSAND WORDS, I have no need to say much more.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As I write this poem, I simply say,<\/p>\n

Thank You, Dear God <\/em><\/p>\n

for warm colors and Gifts of Love.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I decide to write my poem as a prayer of appreciation to God for my friends\u00a0 and family, for the gifts they give me.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I can also write a poem with the description of the actual objects in the photo as my focus. there are a number of options and ways you can begin the poem.<\/p>\n

Handmade Friends<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dear God,<\/p>\n

my heart bursts With thankfulness<\/p>\n

for HANDMADE friends.<\/p>\n

You have given me friends who know<\/p>\n

the value of\u00a0 handmade”love.<\/p>\n

There are no gifts to compare with<\/p>\n

gifts made by their own hands.<\/p>\n

These presents are the best ones.<\/p>\n
