I chose words that relate to Spring Break in Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Write them FAST before your brain begins to categorize or order them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Use your inner feelings, your intuition, not your logical brain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">2._Add a proper name and a color to your list of 20 \u00a0words &#8211;<strong> Now you have 22 words.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">3._Look at your 22 words, and write \u00a0some very loose rhyming words to go with those 22 words. \u00a0They should not be exact rhyming words but \u00a0they should be the same syllable or beat count.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Example: \u00a0bird and song; \u00a0pie and cake; etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>4._You will have 44 words.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Are you ready to begin now?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">5._Pretend you are making a TOSSED SALAD&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">6._Start writing and just dump in the words randomly, without giving \u00a0them a lot of thought. \u00a0You will be amazed at the magic that begins to happen when you do this. Do it quickly!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Stay RELAXED, allow the words to arrange themselves as you write.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Stay relaxed and do not stress over any words or lines. This poem is a FUN poem. Keep it fun.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Pretend \u00a0you would plop a big spoon full of SALAD FIXINGS \u00a0in an empty bowl. \u00a0Each of your words will be a different ingredient that will be used to create your Tossed Salad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Try to take as many ingredients (words) \u00a0from the list you wrote. If you cannot use them all, no problem. Just keep going into the BIG BOWL OF TOSSED SALAD.\u00a0Take words from the \u00a0list and mingle them with additional words as you write.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">**********<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Here is MY LIST of 20 words:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">island&#8230;..paradise<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">palm&#8230;..branches<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">rental&#8230;..car<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">rum&#8230;..tour<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">music&#8230;..Tony<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Mountains&#8230;..el bano<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">bananas&#8230;..breakfast<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">coffee&#8230;..hacienda<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">airport&#8230;..delays<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">rain forest&#8230;..waterfall<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">hiking&#8230;..swimming<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">sun&#8230;..burn<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">orange&#8230;..hat<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">plantation&#8230;..luxury<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">sand&#8230;beach<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">moonlight&#8230;..stars<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Caribbean&#8230;..morning<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Spring&#8230;..vacation<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Coqui&#8230;..dancing<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">**********************<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Below, my example using the list of words:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>&#8220;Primavara&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Caribbean mornings<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">earthy paradise<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">dark island coffee with sugar<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">tiny \u00a0homegrown yellow pla\u2019tanos<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">sunrise breeze with honey buns<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">rental cars spiral up the mountains<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">seeking abandoned plantations<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">hacienda tourists in a group<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I wore \u00a0my new green hat<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">afternoon rum delivered by boat<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">sandy beaches never closed<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">coconut drinks every day<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">coral reefs and rusty piers<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">sun burned skin<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">soothed with aloe vera<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">steep mountain paths<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">bridges with missing planks<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">immersed in chilly \u00a0streams<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I scream for pleasure<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">moan beneath a \u00a0throbbing waterfall<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Caribbean nights under the stars<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I danced in the streets with strangers<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">held lucid dreams in my hands<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Tony sings Puerto Rican\u00a0songs<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">whispers phrases \u00a0in my ear<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cCuando termina el receso de Primavara\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">always in Spanish<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">if a volcano erupts<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">there may be some delays<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">island flights are seldom on time<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">when spring break is over<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">********************<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0PS, I just LOVE the word, &#8220;PRIMAVERA, don&#8217;t you?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Lynda McKinney Lambert.
