I was thinking about\u00a0 the happiness I found wherever I happened \u00a0to be in this world.<\/em><\/h2>\n

I read this quote\u00a0 today:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cFind your place on the planet. Dig in, and take responsibility from there.\u201d \u2014 Gary Snyder<\/em><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I enjoyed many \u00a0opportunities \u00a0to travel to delightful places in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Puerto Rico, Germany, Czech Republic, and Austria – over my long career as an author and artist.<\/p>\n

My place on this planet is in the small rural Village of Wurtemburg, in Western Pennsylvania.\u00a0\u00a0This is where I patiently watch the signs of the awakening of a new season that is coming soon.\u00a0 I appreciate the season I am in now, and I will anticipate the change to the new season at the appointed time.\u00a0 I dig in.\u00a0 From here, I will take responsibility for each day and the activities that come with it.<\/p>\n

What can we\u00a0\u00a0do on days that don’t feel \u00a0satisfying?\u00a0 We all have them, by the way.<\/p>\n

We all have those days when nothing seems to be in synch, when it feels anxious or tired.<\/p>\n

Why are some days more complete and joyful than other days?<\/p>\n

How can a person be \u00a0“up to speed” and ready for the day?<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The term that came to mind is “Tune-up.”<\/h2>\n

When I think about this personally, I think of a beautiful sports car.<\/em><\/h3>\n

I’ve always appreciated the beauty and power \u00a0of a sports car.<\/em><\/h3>\n

\u00a0Like a fine sports car, we might \u00a0need a tune-up~<\/em><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n
\u00a0Is there anything more spectacular than a beautifully designed \u00a0sports car?<\/div>\n
There is something about them that stops us in our tracks so we can stop what we are doing and stand still to \u00a0admire their beauty.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I asked myself, what makes a race car run smoothly?<\/div>\n
it’s the regular, scheduled tune-up.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We are\u00a0 so much like a finely \u00a0tuned-up vehicle.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I like the IDEA of taking\u00a0 a\u00a0 step\u00a0 towards making THIS DAY a GREAT DAY.<\/div>\n
One of the things that I do that gives me a pick-up is to begin to sing.\u00a0 Out loud.<\/div>\n
Do I feel like singing sometimes? No!<\/div>\n
But I go ahead and open my mouth and let the sounds flow out of it.<\/div>\n
Before I know it, I am feeling so much better and\u00a0 I have a renewed sense of energy.<\/div>\n
Singing is a\u00a0 step of faith – a way of declaring that despite any negative feelings I have, I believe in joy.<\/div>\n
Here’s a little song that I sing every morning as I begin my day.<\/div>\n
I sing it during the day as I\u00a0 \u00a0think about the wonderful day I have been given.<\/div>\n
I clap my hands and dance through the house.<\/div>\n

I raise my arms to the sky and sing this song to God as I walk the dogs through the woods along the creek.<\/div>\n
I know that all of nature is singing the praises to God every day.<\/div>\n

Lately I have such a happy song in my heart.\u00a0 Sing it with me! Click here!<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

I\u00a0 begin to sing this song as I walk the dogs outside <\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

in the darkness of the morning,<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

in the afternoon breeze, or the \u00a0last rays of evening.<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
The neat thing is that the song stays with me all day long.\u00a0 Yes.\u00a0 I find myself breaking out with a song at various times of the day, too. I just stop what I am doing and I begin to sing.\u00a0 This song wakes me at night, and it is in my spirit when I open my eyes in the morning.\u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n

Do you know how GOOD it is to SING to God?<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

\n<\/div>\n

\n

Singing praises to our Father God,\u00a0 our Messiah, and the Holy Spirit – turns every day into a joyful journey.\u00a0\u00a0 We are HAPPY WARRIORS!\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I am a child of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/div>\n
We are Happy Warriors.\u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\n

For 2021, I chose the word, “Clarity,” to be my ONE WORD for the year.<\/span><\/h3>\n

This commitment led me to begin reading the book of Ephesians in the New Testament of the Holy Bible at the beginning of this year.<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Another discovery I made this year is that we are to “Put on the Full Armor of God” each morning.<\/div>\n
I do it each day – and on the rare days that I forgot to do it – well, lets just say, I know it\u00a0 because the day will not be the same as if I had put on the Armor.<\/div>\n
It won’t be long before I am very aware that I have not put on the protection I need – and I will do it quickly once I make that discovery.<\/div>\n

We belong to the King and HE gives us pleasures\u00a0 beyond\u00a0 anything we could think of or ask for.\u00a0 It’s true. <\/span><\/div>\n
No matter what is going on all around us, we keep our eyes on our KING and we are blessed coming and going.\u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I begin my day with a song –<\/strong> <\/em><\/h2>\n
<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
“I will enter YOUR gates with Thanksgiving in my heart. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I will enter YOUR gates with praise.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I will SING <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
‘this is the day that the Lord has made.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
I will rejoice and be glad.”<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Do you have a particular SONG that you sing as you begin your day?<\/div>\n
How does it make a difference for you when you sing during the day?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
When I was a very young mother, I worked a couple of evenings a week in a retail store.<\/div>\n
I loved being there and I loved helping people find what they needed. Since I worked in the FABRIC DEPARTMENT, it was a JOB MADE IN HEAVEN for ME.<\/div>\n
I started making clothing as a young child – and fabric was so thrilling for me to be surrounded with when I was working in the store.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Yet, some times when we were not busy, the time would seem to go so slow. Those times felt like time was dragging on.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
At times \u00a0like that, I would start \u00a0to sing a song to myself – not out loud.<\/div>\n
I imagined that I was putting a\u00a0 record on, and I was listening to a song.<\/div>\n
By doing this I was able to keep my heart happy and be at peace inside.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Think about giving yourself a Tune-up today by singing a song of praise to God.<\/div>\n
Singing keeps our heart happy as we go through the day.<\/div>\n
In addition to our songs, we are putting on the Armor of God each day, too.<\/div>\n
That is a winning combination for a good day.<\/div>\n
