Beginning the Journey in 2021<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Where\u00a0 I am going this year ~ I am Making Room <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n

We never know when we step into a new year where our journey will take us.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am lighting my Advent candles each day and our Christmas Tree is still\u00a0 brightening our days in it’s little corner of our dining room.<\/p>\n

“The road is straight, the burdens light.”\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This year is like no other – I’m aware of that fact.<\/p>\n

I prepared myself for this year in a couple of ways.<\/span><\/p>\n

I cleared out distractions and time-wasters from my social media life to have more time to do what I am called to do.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is important \u2013 we have a specific block of time for each day, and it\u2019s essential to think about how we will spend our time.<\/span><\/p>\n

I made room for more time with God and seeking His plan for my daily life.<\/span><\/p>\n

I love this song and video of\u00a0<\/span>Casting Crowns<\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u2013 because it asks a question about how we spend our time.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this video I was captivated by that piano – and I thought, ‘What fun it would be to sit down and play that piano!”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My ONE WORD for 2021 is CLARITY.<\/span><\/p>\n

The best place to learn more about clarity is to look inside ourselves and see where we can change.<\/span><\/p>\n

And, that is what I am doing this year \u2013 personally.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Fiber Studio \u2013<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Of course, I have plans to work in my studio and make art.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have the studio all organized. Today, I will be up there beginning work on a new series of mixed-media fiber art.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have a series of 3 small works laid out and ready to begin the process. The kind of beadwork that I do requires a patient hand. It is a time-intensive work.<\/span><\/p>\n

In my Writing Life<\/span><\/h3>\n

The revised edition of my first book \u2013 Concerti: Psalms for the Pilgrimage, is at the editor\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>DLD Books<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in Denver, Colorado. I\u2019ll be working with Leonore and David to produce the cover, and edit the manuscript and send it off for printing.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have a chapbook ready for publication. The chapbook is called Primavera: When Spring Break is Over. It\u2019s a collection of poems with a spring theme.\u00a0 I desire to find the perfect publisher for my precious little chapbook. <\/span><\/p>\n

Before I begin my work for the day, I take time <\/span><\/h3>\n

to pray and meditate on a Bible passage.<\/span><\/h3>\n

During January, I am reading and studying the book of Ephesians.\u00a0 This book is timely and I am aware of the New Era that we have stepped into this year.\u00a0\u00a0 This is far more than a typical New Year.\u00a0 It’s much more than that.\u00a0 A New Era is beginning for the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Apostle Paul tells us how to begin each day \u2013 and this is my declaration at the beginning of each new day.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

The Armor of God<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil\u2019s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.<\/p>\n

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord\u2019s people.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
