As in all \u00a0Pilgrimages, our journey \u00a0is a linear path from one location to our final destination.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"font-inherit\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><em>GET READY<\/em><\/span><em><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"> &#8211;<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The fourth \u00a0Advent candle shifts our focus to think about the Supernatural arrival of ANGELS on thee night of Jesus&#8217; birth in Bethlehem.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve learned that God always provides a sign for every promise to humanity. The sign will point to an actual event that will take place in the future. Angels are messengers from God.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008000;\">The birth of Jesus is the beginning of The Last Days &#8211; we are living in the ERA between the ADVENTS.\u00a0 <\/span><\/h3>\n<p>There was a FIRST ADVENT but there will be a SECOND ADVENT &#8211; God created angels.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/llambert363.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/12\/blog_2014_advent4_angelsnativityicon.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-154 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/llambert363.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/12\/blog_2014_advent4_angelsnativityicon.jpg?w=191&#038;resize=191%2C300\" alt=\"Blog_2014_Advent4_AngelsNativityIcon\" width=\"191\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The angels give clarity to any possible confusion that may have developed \u2013 Angels made announcements, predictions for the present and the future, gave directions, and provided protection.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3><em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">What do ANGELS DO?<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p>9Then an angel of the Lord stood before them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they are terrified.\u00a010But the angel said to them, &#8220;Do not be afraid; for see&#8211;I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people:\u00a011to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.\u00a012This will be a sign for you: you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger.&#8221;\u00a013And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying,\u00a014&#8243;Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors!&#8221; \u00a0\u00a0(Luke 2:9-14 NRSV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/llambert363.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/12\/blog_2014_ibelieve_angel_photo.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-155\" src=\"https:\/\/llambert363.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/12\/blog_2014_ibelieve_angel_photo.jpg?resize=187%2C270\" alt=\"Blog_2014_IBelieve_Angel_PHOTO\" width=\"187\" height=\"270\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ah, yes, from all accounts in historic texts, an angel was such a distinctly different kind of being, that every person who met an angel was immediately afraid \u2013 the angels always have to say, \u201cFear not!\u201d when they encounter humans because they appear to be \u00a0frightening when they suddenly appear among human beings.\u00a0 In most descriptions of angels in literature and art works, they are quite tall \u2013 the size of a human or larger. They appear unexpectedly, and with no warning &#8211; and human beings tremble at the sight of them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/llambert363.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/12\/blog_2014_ibelieve_angelstarskyphoto.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-156 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/llambert363.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/12\/blog_2014_ibelieve_angelstarskyphoto.jpg?resize=300%2C168\" alt=\"Blog_2014_Ibelieve_AngelStarSkyPHOTO\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Events that take place in the SKY are SIGNS for HUMANS to know what is about to happen on EARTH.\u00a0 Events are planned in HEAVEN, and the SIGNS will appear in the SKY before the events are manifested on EARTH.<\/p>\n<p>HEAVENLY MESSENGERS \u00a0\u00a0will always point to coming events on Earth.<\/p>\n<p>This is a historical fact, recorded from the beginnings of the creation of earth.<\/p>\n<p>They are prophetic signs and wonders.<\/p>\n<p>The Nativity events began in the \u00a0SKY, \u00a0in the HEAVENS, and then the events announced by the angels took place on earth with the angels interacting with, \u00a0and for,\u00a0 humans. \u00a0We can WATCH the SKY, SUN and MOON \u00a0and KNOW when supernatural events will take place on EARTH! The coming of Jesus was announced in advance of the birth, by signs in the sky.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Here is something interesting that you may not be familiar with &#8211; when you see an angel depicted as very small and flying about in the sky, this would not be a credible depiction, but instead, it is imagery from pagan origins and antiquity. Putti are very sensual little creatures with wings. \u00a0Often, people think they are angels but they are not.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Angels are certainly NOT \u00a0cute little frolicking and fun-loving chubby, naked, baby-like creatures with little wings that are depicted in art works, altars, and sculptures from Antiquity to the present time. These curly haired, flying babies are pagan representations and are always associated with Dionysius in mythology, not at all Christian.\u00a0 They are called PUTI, and these little beings are quite devilish and devious as they are often seen in sexual acts with humans or mythological deities.\u00a0 Okay, I know, you are probably wondering, \u201cWhy are the Putti present on Christmas Cards, and other decorations at Christmas time?\u201d\u00a0 And, why do people look at them and smile and say how cute they are? I think it is because most people do not know what a Putto is and they think the Putto is an angel. Once again, this is a traditional image that has been carried over from earlier times in the history of humanity.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>I am certain that angels interact with people all over the world today, just as they did in the Nativity story. I believe in Angels!\u00a0 I have had situations where I know for sure I received help from an angel in times of peril. But that is a story for another day.\u00a0\u00a0 How about you?
