I like Kimonos for daywear and have them in a variety of materials and colors. I have some that I knitted as well. I like designer clothing and fine fabrics. No matter whether it is for sleeping in or wearing out to dinner.\u00a0 I prefer quality clothing.\u00a0 Yes, I am picky!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>What time do you wake-up in the morning?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>I have an internal clock and don&#8217;t need an alarm or wake-up call. I am so full of ideas and thoughts for creative work. They come to me during my sleep time so I wake up excited to begin the new day.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Typically,\u00a0 my days begin between 3 and 5 am.\u00a0 Once I open my eyes, the day begins. I am wide awake, alert. I walk the dogs first of all. After we come back from our walk, I feed the cats. I open my computer, make my Caribou coffee, and get started.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Much of my writing is created before daylight.\u00a0 But, for my art, I work in the afternoons mostly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Your favorite chore to do is _____ .<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p>Since you use the word &#8220;chore,&#8221; that seems to imply doing something that is not pleasant but necessary but not anything that is artistic or creative.<\/p>\n<p>I love to clean my house!\u00a0 Does that sounds strange? I am most happy in an \u00a0orderly, peaceful, \u00a0clean home.\u00a0 I want my \u00a0rooms \u00a0to look and smell fresh and clean.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0My favorite place to visit is an \u00a0art gallery.\u00a0 I create the feeling of being in a \u00a0living art gallery\u00a0 with original art displayed on walls and pedestals, windows and tables. I am most content when \u00a0my home feels \u00a0pristine, looks imaginative, is colorful and meets my concept of a beautiful space. I have 2 dogs and 6 cats, so the house is cleaned every day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Least favorite chore to do is _____ . Why?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Opening and processing the daily mail is my least favorite chore. I absolutely freeze at the thought of doing any sort of office work. I&#8217;d be the secretary from hell.\u00a0 In fact, here is a poem from my book,<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><em>Concerti: Psalms \u00a0for the Pilgrimage, 2003. <\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I wrote this poem while working a job I hated.\u00a0 I\u00a0 worked for 3 weeks as an office manager for a small business in California.\u00a0 I think I must have\u00a0\u00a0lost my mind when I\u00a0\u00a0accepted that job.\u00a0 What was I thinking?<\/p>\n<p>The poem lets you know what I was thinking about and how it ended.\u00a0 Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A Secretaries Song&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Rock of Ages, Cleft for me&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Check the phone messages<\/p>\n<p>Sign the papers<\/p>\n<p>File the blue folders.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Let me hide myself in Thee&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When can I expect delivery?<\/p>\n<p>Make out a purchase order,<\/p>\n<p>Please hold &#8211; two lines ringing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Let the water and the blood&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Enter the orders in the computer,<\/p>\n<p>A barrage of papers stacked on my desk.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s another one.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>From Thy riven side which flowed&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I want my parts today and that\u2019s it, period!<\/p>\n<p>We sent it out by Express courier.<\/p>\n<p>Eat your lunch quickly &#8211; get back to work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Be of sin the double cure&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>My back is aching.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the parts you ordered.<\/p>\n<p>I hear the shushing &#8211; air surging through machinery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Cleanse from guilt and make me pure&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Find the number in the Rolodex.<\/p>\n<p>Put the paychecks out at noon.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to turn the computer off.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Brahms is in the background.<\/p>\n<p>I am out the door at 4.<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>*<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Tell us about a home-cooked meal that you cannot forget.<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Well, I&#8217;d rather speak about the birthday cake. I always loved to bake a special cake for my children&#8217;s birthdays.\u00a0 We were having a special dinner for our daughter, Heidi, one year.\u00a0 I went into the kitchen to get her cake and I thought I&#8217;d do something really surprising with it.\u00a0 I remembered seeing some cakes on TV where they were sparkling and seemed like they were on fire.\u00a0 I lit some sparklers that were in the kitchen &#8211; left over from the Fourth of July. Inserted them\u00a0 on top of the cake and proudly wal<\/strong><strong>ked into the dining room with a sparkler cake.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What I did not know is that the sparklers throw off metal that is melted &#8211; so the entire cake was being sprayed with metal. Instead of people at the table laughing and being delighted, they were horrified and screaming to get the sparklers off the cake.\u00a0 Yes, I learned about sparklers in a new way that day.\u00a0 And, the cake was utterly a mess &#8211; but, oh, so memorable.<\/p>\n<p>I guess I can say, I would also be the cake decorator from hell.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Bonus<\/strong>: Is tired the new norm?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Certainly, &#8220;tired&#8221; \u00a0is not a word\u00a0 I want to wear.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I consider it a lazy word and I could never be considered lazy.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0To be tired is to be \u00a0&#8220;bored.&#8221; Never!\u00a0 I choose to embrace an abundant life.\u00a0 I think it&#8217;s imnportant to take breaks and to let the body get refreshed numerous times during the day. I rest when I feel the need to take a rest.\u00a0 Tired is something that happens when the body is ignored.\u00a0 I like breaking the day into different activities so that I remain balanced.<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>*<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s your turn.
