I begin to think about some questions:<\/span><\/h2>\r\n

The word WISDOM \u00a0(\u05d7\u05db\u05dd) is mentioned 222 times in the Hebrew Bible.<\/p>\r\n

What is WISDOM?
Who has it?
Does it come as we grow older?
Where does WISDOM come from?
How can I know if I have WISDOM?


<\/p>\r\n

In Proverbs 8:22\u201331, this personified wisdom is described as being present with God before creation began and even taking part in creation itself.\u00a0 I think everything I need to know about WISDOM is summed up here.<\/p>\r\n

When\u00a0there were\u00a0no fountains abounding with water.<\/em><\/p>\r\n

25<\/span>\u00a0Before the mountains were settled,<\/em><\/p>\r\n

Before the hills, I was brought forth;<\/em><\/p>\r\n

26<\/span>\u00a0While as yet He had not made the earth or the\u00a0fields,<\/em><\/p>\r\n

Or the\u00a0primal dust of the world.<\/em><\/p>\r\n

27<\/span>\u00a0When He prepared the heavens, I\u00a0was\u00a0there,<\/em><\/p>\r\n

When He drew a circle on the face of the deep,<\/em><\/p>\r\n

28<\/span>\u00a0When He established the clouds above,<\/em><\/p>\r\n

When He strengthened the fountains of the deep,<\/em><\/p>\r\n

29<\/span>\u00a0When He assigned to the sea its limit,<\/em><\/p>\r\n

So that the waters would not transgress His command,<\/em><\/p>\r\n

When\u00a0He marked out the foundations of the earth,<\/em><\/p>\r\n

30<\/span>\u00a0Then I was beside Him\u00a0as\u00a07<\/a>a master craftsman;<\/em><\/p>\r\n

And I was daily\u00a0His\u00a0delight,<\/em><\/p>\r\n

Rejoicing always before Him,<\/em><\/p>\r\n

The Talmud teaches that a wise person is a person who can foresee the future.<\/p>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

I’ve often heard people say that wisdom comes with old age.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Really?\u00a0\u00a0 I think it is not an attribute \u00a0we receive \u00a0as we grow older.<\/p>\r\n

We will just be the same-old same-old person we were when we were young.<\/p>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

From the information we see in Proverbs, it Is possible to have a real close walk with God, and be totally fulfilled at the same time.\u00a0\u00a0 We can expect for this relationship with God to continue forever as we realize that our purpose from the beginning is to reflect God’s glory.<\/p>\r\n

When we come to understand our purpose and our calling is only to reflect the Glory of God. Then, and only then, we are WISE.<\/p>\r\n

We often confuse our interests as our calling.\u00a0 For instance, I am an artist and a writer, but those things are my interests and what I enjoy doing.\u00a0 They are not my calling or my purpose in life.\u00a0 Knowing God and reflecting his glory, and sharing HIM, is my purpose an my calling.<\/p>\r\n

Jesus made it very clear that we have only one calling and that is to share the Gospel.<\/p>\r\n

The best place to look to learn about WISDOM id the Bible.<\/p>\r\n

This quote is from one of my favourite poems in this collection: Sleeping Beauties.<\/em>The poems are mainly written in free verse but there are a number that are pantoums, a form of poetry which makes use of repeating lines throughout the poem. It is composed of a series of quatrains; the second and fourth lines of each stanza are repeated as the first and third lines of the next stanza. I am in awe of the poet\u2019s ability to create poems that form a perfect story using this style of poems. The repeated lines lead effortlessly into the new lines, which support them and continue the flow and rhythm of the words seamlessly.<\/em><\/div>\r\n
