Calling<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h1>\r\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><em>Some Reflections\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8211;<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">by Lynda McKinney Lambert<\/h3>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">I begin to think about some questions:<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p>The word WISDOM \u00a0(\u05d7\u05db\u05dd) is mentioned 222 times in the Hebrew Bible.<\/p>\r\n<p>What is WISDOM?<br \/>Who has it?<br \/>Does it come as we grow older?<br \/>Where does WISDOM come from?<br \/>How can I know if I have WISDOM?<br \/><br \/><br \/><\/p>\r\n<p>In Proverbs 8:22\u201331, this personified wisdom is described as being present with God before creation began and even taking part in creation itself.\u00a0 I think everything I need to know about WISDOM is summed up here.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<div class=\"bible-reference-heading\" style=\"background: #ffffff; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; outline: 0px; border: 0px currentColor; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro'; font-size: 1.57em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: baseline;\">30<\/span>\u00a0Then I was beside Him\u00a0as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/nkjv\/proverbs\/8\/22-31#footnote9\" rel=\"popup\" data-resourcename=\"nkjv\">7<\/a>a master craftsman;<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"lang-en\"><em>And I was daily\u00a0His\u00a0delight,<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"lang-en\"><em>Rejoicing always before Him,<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"lang-en\"><em><span style=\"background: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; outline: 0px; border: 0px currentColor; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro'; font-size: 1.57em; font-weight: bold; vertical-align: baseline;\">31<\/span>\u00a0Rejoicing in His inhabited world,<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"lang-en\"><em>And\u00a0my delight\u00a0was\u00a0with the sons of men.<\/em><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>The Talmud teaches that a wise person is a person who can foresee the future.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>I&#8217;ve often heard people say that wisdom comes with old age.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Really?\u00a0\u00a0 I think it is not an attribute \u00a0we receive \u00a0as we grow older.<\/p>\r\n<p>We will just be the same-old same-old person we were when we were young.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>From the information we see in Proverbs, it Is possible to have a real close walk with God, and be totally fulfilled at the same time.\u00a0\u00a0 We can expect for this relationship with God to continue forever as we realize that our purpose from the beginning is to reflect God&#8217;s glory.<\/p>\r\n<p>When we come to understand our purpose and our calling is only to reflect the Glory of God. Then, and only then, we are WISE.<\/p>\r\n<p>We often confuse our interests as our calling.\u00a0 For instance, I am an artist and a writer, but those things are my interests and what I enjoy doing.\u00a0 They are not my calling or my purpose in life.\u00a0 Knowing God and reflecting his glory, and sharing HIM, is my purpose an my calling.<\/p>\r\n<p>Jesus made it very clear that we have only one calling and that is to share the Gospel.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>The best place to look to learn about WISDOM id the Bible.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>*<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\r\n<p>This article is a GIFT for you from \u00a0Lynda McKinney Lambert. a-expander-partial-collapse-content\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\r\n<div aria-expanded=\"false\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n<div aria-expanded=\"false\"><em>Star Signs: New and Selected Poems is a marvelous book packed with the most beautifully descriptive poems about a wide variety of different topics that are grouped together under the following four sections which indicate their overarching theme: Lights Across the Sky, Distant Legends &amp; Metaphors, Transmutation of Earthy Elements and Seasons, Days and Years. <\/em><em>The poet\u2019s use of language is rich and theatrical as is illustrated by the following short extracts:<\/em><\/div>\r\n<div aria-expanded=\"false\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n<div aria-expanded=\"false\"><em>\u201cAccomplishments seem possible<\/em><br \/><em>before dawn<\/em><br \/><em>concentric choices are unlimited\u201d &#8220;<\/em><em>The lively sonata of midday skies<\/em><br \/><em>responds to the muted notes of night skies.<\/em><br \/><em>Time is temporal. Immeasurable.\u201d <\/em><em>\u201cMy jewelry box embraces<\/em><br \/><em>yesterday\u2019s vanishing dreams<\/em><br \/><em>favourite obsessions \u2013 polished and hidden.\u201d<\/em><\/div>\r\n<div aria-expanded=\"false\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n<div aria-expanded=\"false\"><em>This quote is from one of my favourite poems in this collection: Sleeping Beauties.<\/em><em>The poems are mainly written in free verse but there are a number that are pantoums, a form of poetry which makes use of repeating lines throughout the poem. It is composed of a series of quatrains; the second and fourth lines of each stanza are repeated as the first and third lines of the next stanza. I am in awe of the poet\u2019s ability to create poems that form a perfect story using this style of poems.
