{"id":6555,"date":"2020-04-04T12:04:35","date_gmt":"2020-04-04T16:04:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lyndalambert.com\/?p=6555"},"modified":"2020-04-04T12:08:56","modified_gmt":"2020-04-04T16:08:56","slug":"soul-food","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lyndalambert.com\/wordpress\/soul-food\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Soul-food_ A Poem-a-Day, #4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Post # 306<\/p>\n<p>4 April 2020<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><em>National Poetry Month<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><em><strong>A Poem \u2013 a- Day<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>a GIFT from<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><em><strong>Pennsylvania Author<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><em><strong>Lynda McKinney Lambert<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyndalambert.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/20_April1_Forsythia11_Bob-Portrait-scaled.jpg\">\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For National Poetry Month &#8211; April 2020 &#8211; I&#8217;ve set my intentions to write a new poem each day.<\/p>\n<p>So far, I am enjoying an exploration of the TRITINA POEM FORM.<\/p>\n<p>My poem today is &#8220;Soul-food,&#8221; which is \u00a0a Tritina.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">Soul-food<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">by Lynda McKinney Lambert<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">What comes to mind when I mention soul-food?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">Is it something beige and boring, like hummus?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">Maybe the taste of a fresh-baked buttered bun?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">Blended with olive oil, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic on a bun?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">A Middle-eastern delight of exotic soul-food<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">My go-to food is chickpeas ground into hummus.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">I am convinced the best treat on earth is homemade hummus<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">Sprinkle in pine nuts or chili peppers and spread on a sesame seed bun<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">It&#8217;s an easy-to-make healthy nutritious soul-food<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">My favorite soul-food is a glob of hummus with black olives plopped on a fresh poppy-seed bun.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0<em><\/em><\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Times New Roman;\"><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"color: #008080;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">*<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><em><strong>How\u00a0\u00a0to Write This Poem?<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<h3><em><strong>Tritina Poem<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Tritina has 3, 3-line stanzas. (9 lines, plus an envoy line)<\/p>\n<p>Tritina begins by selecting\u00a0 3 words.
