{"id":6509,"date":"2020-04-02T11:32:29","date_gmt":"2020-04-02T15:32:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lyndalambert.com\/?p=6509"},"modified":"2020-04-03T12:29:53","modified_gmt":"2020-04-03T16:29:53","slug":"tritina-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lyndalambert.com\/wordpress\/tritina-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"A Poem-a-Day:   A Spring-Cleaned Song"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>Post # 304<\/p>\r\n<p>2 April 2020<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><em><strong>National Poetry Month<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h1>\r\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><em><strong>A Poem &#8211; a- Day<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h1>\r\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>a GIFT from<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><em><strong>Pennsylvania Author<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><em><strong>Lynda McKinney Lambert<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h3><em><strong>A Spring-Cleaned Poem<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\r\n<p>by Lynda McKinney Lambert<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>My grandmother taught me stressful renewal begins in spring<\/p>\r\n<p>when kitchen cupboards and drawers need cleaned<\/p>\r\n<p>She\u2019d rather be outside in her flower bed listening to a robin\u2019s song.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>My grandfather knew the twig-strewn lawn must be cleaned<\/p>\r\n<p>I imagined he&#8217;d rather be playing his coronet or composing a asong<\/p>\r\n<p>It\u2019s hard to decide with so much work to do every spring<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>This morning, I heard an invisible performance of bird song<\/p>\r\n<p>somewhere above treetops, \u00a0I listened to the \u00a0music of spring<\/p>\r\n<p>Inside or outside, my family tradition reminds me it must all be cleaned<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>Nevertheless, last night I dreamed of writing this spring-cleaned song.<\/p>\r\n<h2><span style=\"color: #008000;\">*<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<h3><em><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Lynda&#8217;s Note:<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\r\n<p>Today is DAY #2 of National Poetry Month.<\/p>\r\n<p>&#8220;A Spring-Cleaned Poem,&#8221; is a Tritina Poem.<\/p>\r\n<h2><strong>*<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<p>Tritina Poem<\/p>\r\n<p>Tritina has 3, 3-line stanzas. (9 lines, plus an envoy line)<\/p>\r\n<p>\u00a0Tritina begins by selecting\u00a0 3 words.
