In 2009, I started writing my blog,<\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u201cWalking by Inner Vision\u201d<\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0It was to begin to write about my own journey into the new experience I had entered. This new experience came 2 years earlier, in October 2007; I was suddenly thrust into the world of sudden blindness. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

This event changed nearly everything in my life.<\/div>\n
Writing about it became \u00a0a way for me <\/div>\n
to speak about my life <\/div>\n
now that it had entirely changed.<\/div>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0I \u00a0am an Educator,\u00a0 Visual Artist and Author, <\/p>\n

I discuss how I have learned to continue <\/p>\n

to be a \u00a0creative artist and writer once again. <\/p>\n

John Bramblitt is a Texas artist who is blind. He lost his sight around age 11. He began painting after he lost his sight. <\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

This video was done when he was still an undergraduate student. <\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
John says he \u00a0loves creating both fine art and writing.\u00a0 It\u2019s not unusual for find an artist who also loves to write.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n

I think it is often a \u00a0winning combination that most artists embrace.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0As <\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cIt is only the tools that are different.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/i><\/div>\n

\u00a0The process remains the same.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0He says when you look at a \u201chow to\u201d book on both painting, and writing, you\u2019ll see the process is the same for each. I affirm this truth that John has discovered in his journey.<\/p>\n

John is shown in this video doing a workshop and speaking with a visitor. We can see him showing how his work begins. He is describing how it begins with an initial drawing on the canvas. The drawing is raised, giving him guidelines to follow when the painting process begins. <\/p>\n
