 <\/p>\n

The early\u00a0<\/b>morning choir twitters –<\/b><\/div>\n
\n

Chirps\u00a0 deep inside\u00a0 the dusty bushes,<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

accompanied by \u00a0low, long mournful tones<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

of wheels turning against the pavement.<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\n

A hidden lemon chiffon sun brightens the \u00a0sky<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

somewhere behind \u00a0layers of \u00a0melancholy \u00a0mists –<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

softly \u00a0warming \u00a0the\u00a0 mahogany branches<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

of starkly naked springtime trees.<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\n

I made no special plans for today-<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

no periwinkle blue\u00a0 shoes or silken \u00a0amethyst\u00a0 dress.<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Instead, I recline on soft linen\u00a0 pillows <\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

and \u00a0write on ashen \u00a0journal pages.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Tranquil. \u00a0I listen and watch.<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\n

A gloomy opening of a hillside cave<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

unravels \u00a0through my thoughts.<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

From somewhere in the Eastern world,<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

stories of old dreams continue to be told.<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\n

\u00a0I contemplate\u00a0 the meaning of this day.<\/b><\/p>\n
