New Beginnings – A Monarch’s First Flight<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“A Fragile Thing”<\/p>\n

Before daylight
\nlone black crow lands on swaying tree top
\nhigh above rushing waters of the creek
\ncrow\u2019s voice hollers out
\nsharp staccato jabs, high-pitched notes
\nmingled with swift moving water<\/p>\n

Canadian geese
\nbuild nests on flat rocks
\nbeside a torrent of white-water
\nnear Rhododendron bushes
\nsuper stars, each of them
\nmagnificent blooming wall of flowers
\nbefore dawn this morning<\/p>\n

Life happens slowly
\nlike growth of lavender-pink
\nRhododendron blossoms
\nsmallest details
\nhundreds of them
\nwide open
\neverything in sync
\na fragile thing.<\/p>\n
