I am preparing my presentation for the event, I thought about how my readers might like to have a closer view into the life of an Author.\u00a0 They might enjoy hearing more about what a typical day is like in my personal and writing life.<\/p>\n
I created \u00a0a \u00a0voice recording this morning \u00a0in which I talked about what I am currently doing \u00a0and I discussed what I am \u00a0thinking about as I go through a normal morning.\u00a0 But after I listened to the recording, which I liked, I could not add it to this blog and I could not add it to FaceBook.\u00a0 Both social media venues did not allow me to add it – because it is an MP4 – recording!\u00a0 Now, how is that for a big surprise today. I am disappointed.\u00a0 I am especially surprised because I pay a LOT for both of my blogs since they are PREMIUM\u00a0 BLOG THEMES.\u00a0 Stupid planning, I’d say, about both FB and WP. .<\/p>\n
I began to seriously consider speaking\u00a0 this morning \u00a0while I was outside working in my flower gardens.<\/p>\n
As I watered the gardens, pulled the weeds, and began to sweat in the early morning\u00a0 of this beautiful Sunday, I decided that you might enjoy listening to me\u00a0 as I describe\u00a0 a little bit of my life in rural western Pennsylvania.\u00a0 This is the place where I live and where I write my books and create my mixed-media fiber art.\u00a0 From this rural location, I produce writings and art that is enjoyed by people all over the world.\u00a0 Isn’t that amazing!\u00a0 But I could not post the voice recording so you cannot hear it.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, “Yes, it is a blessing” to share my life with all of you this morning.”<\/p>\n
today, I am sharing the second photo from my new book:\u00a0 Star Signs: New and Selected Poems.<\/p>\n
Each of the 4 sections in that book include a special photo that illustrates a theme or image mentioned in one of the poems.<\/p>\n

This photo was shot by Matthew as he was making the glass art form.<\/p>\n
While he works at the glass making, he takes photos of the process and finished pieces.<\/p>\n
The photos are works of art and stand alone –<\/p>\n
I selected this piece to go with my poem, “Of Smoke & Mirrors,” and was delighted when he agreed to allow me to use it in the book. Thank you Matt!<\/p>\n
Matt is my grandson – so I get an inside view of his work when I have visited his studio.<\/p>\n
Fire, flames, torches, tools, white-hot glass, and Matt choreographing the movements as he works with all of the elements.<\/p>\n
