{"id":4700,"date":"2019-04-06T10:54:55","date_gmt":"2019-04-06T14:54:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lyndalambert.com\/?p=4700"},"modified":"2019-04-06T11:19:19","modified_gmt":"2019-04-06T15:19:19","slug":"newly-hatched-the-pi-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lyndalambert.com\/wordpress\/newly-hatched-the-pi-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"Newly Hatched &#8211; the Pi Poem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Post #240<\/p>\n<p>April 6, 2019<\/p>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>April is National Poetry Month<\/strong><\/em><\/h1>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>Day 6: <\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>\u201c Newly hatched\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Let&#8217;s write a Pi Poem today.<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>~ YOU CAN DO IT~<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>First &#8211; write out the numerical sequence of Pi.<\/em><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Like this:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a03.1415926535897932384626433832795028.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In my example, I&#8217;ve written the sequence that ends in &#8220;0,&#8221; but I added 2 more numbers after the zero.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<h3><em><strong>The Pi Poem can be a challenge but I think it is \u00a0fun to do.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p>No, I am not a math whiz &#8211; not a bit.<\/p>\n<p>Follow the numerical sequence for Pi, and you can do this form without tears.<\/p>\n<h2>For my example:<\/h2>\n<p>I chose to write the 34-line version of the sequence which means, that when I got to &#8220;ZERO&#8221; I went on to do 2 more lines, keeping the Pi formulation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>First, I will give you the completed poem I wrote this morning.<\/p>\n<p>After you read it, keep on reading, and you will see how I laid out this poem by putting the syllable count in parenthesis at the beginning of each line.<\/p>\n<p>This gave \u00a0me the pattern that I followed: I simply counted out the proper syllable count for each line as I wrote \u00a0the poem.<\/p>\n<p>I like to work with a structure, at times; the Pi Poem is a good way to do that.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<h3><em>Here is my newest \u00a0Pi-Poem, &#8220;Newly hatched.&#8221;<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>After I wrote the poem with the numbers at the beginning of each line, then\u00a0 I went back and removed the numbers once the poem was the way I wanted.
