\u201c Muddy Hands”<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n <\/p>\n
\u201cMuddy Hands\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 by Lynda McKinney Lambert<\/em><\/p>\nYou turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay, that the thing made should say of its maker, <\/em><\/p>\n\u201cHe did not make me\u201d; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, \u201cHe has no understanding.\u201d?<\/em><\/p>\n~ Isaiah 29:16<\/em><\/p>\nMuddy Hands<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
October 2007;<\/strong><\/h3>\nI suddenly lost most of my eye sight.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I did not know night from day.<\/p>\n
I could not see a clock. Time vanished.<\/p>\n
I could not find a phone number or dial a phone.<\/p>\n
\u201cNormal\u201d was now upside-down days and nights.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I could DREAM.<\/strong><\/h3>\nI could envision wonders.<\/p>\n
I could try. \u00a0I could try again.<\/p>\n
I could pick up a piece of wet clay.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Slowly.<\/strong><\/h2>\nThe muddy substance felt like a possibility in my hands.<\/p>\n
The clay brought back memories.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
My muddy hands began to do the work of remembering.<\/p>\n
Muddy hands gave new confidence in me.<\/p>\n
Muddy hands brought wholeness.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I took MUD and made treasures.<\/p>\n
The wet clay gave me. \u201cMagic Spirit Treasure Boxes\u201d for cherished objects; Wall sculptures to honor the Earth, Nature, and healing of my broken eyes.<\/p>\n
I’ll \u00a0use my Muddy Hands!<\/p>\n
