My Favorite Things<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nFriday Fanfare & Ballyhoo<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h1>\n

For this week’s Friday Fanfare & Ballyhoo, I give you, “My Favorite Things.”
\nI’ll share the story behind the poem.<\/p>\n

Are You a Stone Keeper?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you LOVE stones, rocks, and gems?<\/p>\n

Are YOU – Stone Crazy?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I found poetic inspirations in my little cedar box full of colorful stones.
\nYes, I admit it – I am stone-crazy. You might be, too.<\/p>\n

Does a stone in your hand make you happy?
\nDo you collect stones from just about everywhere?
\nMy husband is also a stone-keeper.<\/p>\n

Do you have favorite stones? <\/strong><\/p>\n

My favorites stones are found at the bottom of the creek.
\nWashed over for centuries, the river stones are gathered over the years into little eddies along the creek edges.<\/p>\n

I also like: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Yellow (transparent) Labradorite, and All colors of Labradorite;<\/p>\n

Purple and Blue Turquoise from Kingman mine and turquoise from the Sleeping Beauty mine ( which is closed and no more turquoise is being taken from it).<\/p>\n

Green Aventurine: Protects against environmental pollution,<\/p>\n

Pink Sapphire: the Wisdom stone. Each color has its own Wisdom.<\/p>\n

I never found a stone I didn\u2019t like. Each one is a miracle of creation.<\/p>\n

My Favorite Things<\/em> <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

My small cedar box embraces<\/p>\n

yesterday\u2019s vanishing dreams. My<\/p>\n

favorite obsessions \u2013 polished and hidden.<\/p>\n

Amber, formed deep in the Baltic Sea<\/p>\n

Volcanic rocks, rough black<\/p>\n

occasionally spewed from the fire<\/p>\n

Red coral, carved by clever hands<\/p>\n

inspired memories of summer roses<\/p>\n

Turquoise slabs extracted from Arizona\u2019s<\/p>\n

equivocal, rare, Sleeping Beauty mine<\/p>\n

Treasures from Kingman<\/p>\n

have a special room in my heart<\/p>\n

I touch the sacred gifts from the earth<\/p>\n

nourish my soul with their splendour<\/p>\n

gather each gem, one at a time. My<\/p>\n

Sleeping Beauties \u2013 Talismans \u2013 Favorite things.<\/p>\n
