Dreams. Who Needs Them!<\/strong><\/h1>\n

I am a DREAMER.<\/h2>\n

Are you?<\/h2>\n

I am certain that we\u00a0 become what we DREAM.<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our DREAMS offer INSIGHT into who we are.<\/h1>\n

<\/h1>\n

What do we think about<\/h3>\n

when we are wide-awake?<\/h3>\n

Where will our life journey take us?<\/h3>\n

<\/h2>\n

Our DREAMS show us\u00a0our PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

<\/h3>\n

Can you relate to this statement by\u00a0 Henry David Thoreau?<\/h2>\n

I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his\u00a0dreams<\/b>, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In my dream<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I am standing on the mountain<\/p>\n

near the terrifying edge of the precipice,<\/p>\n

sit down to draw in my sketchbook.<\/p>\n

I see Alpine villages in the valley below,<\/p>\n

scattered like multi-colored Tourmaline stones.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In my dream<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I am in death-defying situations<\/p>\n

It is always winter and I struggle.<\/p>\n

icy winds and dicey slopes<\/p>\n

without a pathway.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In my dream<\/strong><\/h2>\n

my solo flights are joyous.<\/p>\n

I push my heels downward<\/p>\n

launch my body into the sky.<\/p>\n

Hover. Dive. Swoop. Circle.<\/p>\n

No need for feathered wings.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In my dream<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I climb upwards<\/p>\n

on the ladder I stumbled upon<\/p>\n

in the woods one afternoon.<\/p>\n

Earth disappears<\/p>\n

the ladder is unstable<\/p>\n

\u201cKeep it straight up,\u201d I whisper.<\/p>\n

\u201cKeep your body centered. Stay poised.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In my dream<\/strong><\/h2>\n

a cerulean blue dragon kills stealthy leopards<\/p>\n

I touch the Dragon\u2019s horny face as we fly<\/p>\n

full-speed ahead through throbbing pain<\/p>\n

I\u2019m a midnight rider on rain-slick highway<\/p>\n

headed home.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In my dream<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I hold asymmetrical yellow wildflowers<\/p>\n

planted by birds and wind in open fields.<\/p>\n

A white dog guards the entrance to the Underworld.<\/p>\n

She sleeps under my bed<\/p>\n

guards me on long narrow journeys.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In my dream<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I rest in the shade of Hemlocks and ferns,<\/p>\n

gather water-worn grey stones from the river bottom,<\/p>\n

glide on the surface of the Allegheny river<\/p>\n

in my red canoe.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In my dream<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I watch the movements as dusty stars<\/p>\n

leave tracks on a snow-covered path.<\/p>\n
