A Fragile Thing <\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Before daylight<\/p>\n

lone black crow lands on swaying tree tops<\/p>\n

high above rushing waters of the creek<\/p>\n

crow\u2019s voice hollers out<\/p>\n

sharp staccato jabs, high-pitched notes<\/p>\n

mingled with swift moving water<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Canadian geese<\/p>\n

build nests on flat rocks<\/p>\n

beside a torrent of white-water<\/p>\n

near Rhododendron bushes<\/p>\n

super stars, each of them<\/p>\n

magnificent blooming wall of flowers
\nbefore dawn this morning<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Life happens slowly<\/p>\n

like growth of lavender-pink<\/p>\n

Rhododendron\u00a0blossoms<\/p>\n

smallest details<\/p>\n

hundreds of them<\/p>\n

wide open<\/p>\n

everything in sync<\/p>\n

a fragile thing.<\/p>\n
