Here is my contribution.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;An Afternoon Embroidery Lesson&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This is an <em><strong>ABECEDARIAN<\/strong><\/em> Poem.<\/p>\n<p>Look down the LEFT side and you will see each line begins with a letter of the alphabet.<\/p>\n<p>It goes from A to Z.\u00a0 Go ahead and try one, too! It is fun.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">*****<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>An afternoon embroidery lesson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Beauty is a blue silk thread <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Carefully stitched into ivory cloth <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Did she know my destiny?\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education begins in a quiet place <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For a little girl and her mother <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Grandmother\u2019s kitchen <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Holding on to a slender needle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I slid through the secret places<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Journeys of self-discoveries<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kitchens are sacred spaces<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lost in timeless whispers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>My mother\u2019s patience is endless<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Needles, cloth, scissors, floss<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Objects are symbolic metaphors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Powerful as distant legends<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Questions \u2013 could she <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Recognize these private moments?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sitting quietly with her child<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Time and inspiration are gifts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Universal connections for life<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Visualized my inner longings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Weaving strands of sunny days<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>X-stitch patterns sewed in a weave<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Yellow-gold knotted threads<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Zinnias bloomed on my holy cloth.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Copyright 2016.
