I am aiming to reach that final stage by the end of June.<\/p>\n<p>This process is very much like planting flowers in my gardens.\u00a0 I call this creative time of working on the draft, book gardening.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, I am making \u00a0satisfactory progress and will be glad when I have all \u00a0of the poems \u00a0selected \u00a0and \u00a0placed \u00a0in the \u00a0draft\u2019s sections.\u00a0 I am \u00a0nearly there, with spaces for \u00a0just a few more poems. I\u2019ve been on an excavation mission, finding the right poems for the specific places in the book.<\/p>\n<p>I need to say right now, I seek God first every morning, and I follow the path he has for me.\u00a0 He shows me step by step, what I need to do.\u00a0 I simply ask him for his help.\u00a0 And, he is a generous Father, who gives his children all the help they need.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve been diving into\u00a0 five decades of published poems as well as poems that have never been seen by anyone other than me.\u00a0 Some are complete surprises to me, as I uncover them, and this is delightful.\u00a0 \u00a0The massive surprise in this hunting project is that I am \u00a0able to pinpoint the exact time when I began a lifelong journey into \u00a0\u201ca world of happiness and abundance.\u201d\u00a0 As \u00a0I began a scrapbook project while reading a \u00a0motivational book in 1980.<\/p>\n<p>I discovered the scrapbook that I started putting thoughts and aspirations into at that time.\u00a0 I wrote them down on the soft grey pages of my scrapbook.\u00a0 I cut out photos to go with the ideas and dreams.\u00a0 \u00a0The scrapbook is labeled on the first page as<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;My Journey Into the World of Abundance and Happiness.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>MJITWOAAH<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The discovery of this Scrapbook, brought back the aspirations and dreams I had at that time in my life. It was the beginning step to a lifetime of living with anticipation, faith in the future,\u00a0 trusting God to bring me to all the places he had in mind for me to enjoy.\u00a0 The scrapbook gave me\u00a0 the satisfaction of\u00a0 seeing those early roots\u00a0 visualized on the pages of the scrapbook.\u00a0 This discovery also revealed the seeds I had planted in 1980.\u00a0 \u00a0I see the harvests that I have reaped since those first months of working in my scrapbook.\u00a0 The scrapbook was a field of fertile ground, in which I was planting the seeds for my life journey.<\/p>\n<p>As I work\u00a0 to develop my next book, I know from experience that there are changes and additions\u00a0 I will do before I reach the finish line. I am still planting the seeds every day, removing the weeds, and\u00a0 developing the final harvest.<\/p>\n<p>I plant \u00a0every poem in its location in the book. It\u2019s just like planting my gardens, thinking ahead to how \u00a0each poem will bloom on its page.<\/p>\n<p>As a \u00a0life-long gardener, I consider the physical space throughout the book . Every garden has pathways\u00a0 and places where there is space for resting and meditating.\u00a0 Placement of the poems in the book must be carefully considered, moved around if necessary, and given that final spot where it will\u00a0 remain.\u00a0 I am conscious of the atmosphere of the book&#8217;s pages.<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0 carefully organize the book&#8217;s appearance, just like I would do when creating a\u00a0 flower garden.\u00a0 \u00a0Each poem\u00a0 is given honor on the page so that there is\u00a0 balance\u00a0 and closure, without distractions.<\/p>\n<p>For today, I\u2019ll be outside working this afternoon.\u00a0 The plentiful rainfall we have enjoyed in May, has brought up many healthy and thriving weeds.\u00a0 Now, I must deal with them all, and that is ok for I need sunshine and exercise.<\/p>\n<p>My daughter gave me a new lightweight\u00a0 wheelbarrow for Mother\u2019s Day, and I feel like I am driving \u00a0a brand-new \u00a0Mercedes, as I roll it around through the gardens. \u00a0I might even catch a glimpse of the baby Whistle Pigs that were born beneath my potting shed this season. \u00a0I\u2019ve put out a plate full of grapes to entice them to dine beneath the old Norway Maple tree.<\/p>\n<p>Who knows?\u00a0 One of the little creatures\u00a0 might just stumble into a new poem today and appear on a page in my new book.<\/p>\n<p>This is now the last day of May.\u00a0 This week,\u00a0 I will begin\u00a0 to get the flowers planted in the containers on the porch, and in other places in the various flower gardens around the property.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>__Scripture<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p><span id=\"en-ESV-18429\" class=\"text Isa-40-8\">The grass withers, the flower fades,<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Isa-40-8\">but the word of our God will stand forever.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Isaiah 40:8.\u00a0 \u00a0Read this entire chapter,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Isaiah%2040%3A8&amp;version=ESV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Here<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Our time here in this life on earth is very short and fragile.<\/p>\n<p>Seek God&#8217;s direction for every day.\u00a0 Stay focused on his Word, and discover the\u00a0 steps of your journey with his direction and guidance.\u00a0 He is the friend who will never leave you or forsake you.\u00a0 Ask for his help with the dawn of each new day.\u00a0 God is in complete control of our days and the earth that we are living on. There is no shortage and no limits to our world when we ask Jesus\u00a0 to be our King and our Savior.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>__Daily Action Plan<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>1_<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The most important first step is to stop and pray.<\/p>\n<p>Ask God to lead you in this project.\u00a0 He will show you everything you need to know about setting some goals for your future.\u00a0 He actually IS your future, when you ask Jesus to be your savior and guide through our journey of life. Without his guidance there is no lasting abundance or happiness. We were created for eternity and we need him to guide us every day.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This might be a good time to begin your own &#8220;Journey into\u00a0 the Land of\u00a0 Happiness and Abundance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>2_<\/p>\n<p>After you pray for God&#8217;s guidance, it is now the time to\u00a0 get started.<\/p>\n<p>Select a scrapbook or journal and begin to write down your dreams and desires for the future.\u00a0 If possible, find photos to put with them.<\/p>\n<p>The scrapbook I used was rather large.\u00a0 It has sturdy pages that are a light grey color.\u00a0 All you need is a pen to write down your dreams, and if possible, find photos that you can put with those dreams.<\/p>\n<p>I put in ideas of things I liked for the interior of my home, gardens outside, and\u00a0 pictures of rooms and art that I liked.<\/p>\n<p>I also pasted in some newspaper clippings of some achievements I had in art exhibitions, and letters I received from publishers, and announcements that were meaningful to me and encouraged me on this new journey in\u00a0 1980.<\/p>\n<p>3_<\/p>\n<p>Be creative and put whatever you like in your journal or scrapbook.\u00a0 Do whatever works best for you.
