It&#8217;s a busy time, right now, in my prayer garden, and in the surrounding trees and bushes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I took a little walk about the flower gardens today, too.I bent over to inspect a special little bush I planted last year.\u00a0 It is a unique, Rhododendron-Azalea bush!<\/p>\n<p>I hope it will begin to sprout soon, and I paused to remove the weeds that were coming to live all around it.\u00a0 I walked along the edge of the woods, to see if the young holly bushes survived after the harsh winter.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t yet know if they made it through safely, but my heart holds hope that they will be growing as the days become warmer.<\/p>\n<p>Soon, I will put flowers in some hanging baskets. My house\u00a0 has a wrap-around porch that spans across the South-Eastern front and curves into the longer\u00a0 South Western\u00a0 side of the house..\u00a0 In a couple of weeks there\u00a0 will be ten baskets hanging from\u00a0 graceful black\u00a0 wrought iron hooks, suspended in the breeze and soaking up the sunshine.\u00a0 The potted plants\u00a0 will be a safe place for the tiny house wrens to begin their work of gathering wet moss and creating a\u00a0 hidden nest in the sheltered soil surrounding\u00a0 the flowers. I&#8217;ll be able to watch them at work as I sit in one of the old Amish rocking chairs nearby.<\/p>\n<p>Like the protective sheltering flowers in the baskets, I am also aware of the assurance\u00a0 of being protected and safe beneath God&#8217;s care as promised\u00a0 in the Holy Bible.There are many reverences to wings in the Bible. I think\u00a0 of wings as a place of shelter, where I am safe and hidden away from anything that would hurt me.<\/p>\n<p>Wings also remind us of the supernatural that we experience as we are protected by the wings of angels, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.\u00a0 The Holy Spirit comes to take up residence inside of us when we commit our life to Jesus.\u00a0 The Holy Spirit will be our protector, and our helper. He is\u00a0 with us forever, and watches over us day and night.\u00a0 He speaks to us in a still small voice, when we are quiet and pay attention to him. I listen for God&#8217;s voice to guide me.<\/p>\n<p>Below, I placed a link so you could listen to a song about WINGS .<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zHW2xIgwfzI#:~:text=under%20his%20wings%20you'll%20find%20rain%20refuge.,wings%20you'll%20find%20power%20and%20steadfast%20love.\">Listen here.<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>My home is a haven for birds of all sizes, colors, and\u00a0 songs.<\/p>\n<p>My heart is a haven for joy and happiness, as spring comes alive this month.<\/p>\n<p>This is\u00a0 a little slice of life my life, living with gratitude under the wings of God,\u00a0 our Creator.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>_Scripture<\/h2>\n<p>I&#8217;ve chosen two examples from the Bible that give us a view of the importance of WINGS.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Psalm 91:4<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>He will shield you with his wings!<\/p>\n<p>They will shelter you.\u00a0 His faithful promises are your armor. &#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Isaiah 40:31<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Currently I have published six books of non-fiction, memoir, and poetry.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I created exciting courses across the disciplines \u2013 Art \u2013<\/em><br \/>\n<em>English\u00a0 Literature \u2013 Humanities.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My courses were taught on campus during the spring and fall semesters.\u00a0 In the summer, I taught in Salzburg, Austria for a month of travel and studies in several countries in Europe.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My passions in academia are poetry and fine art.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>After retirement from\u00a0 teaching, I author books and create fine art in Painting\u00a0 and\u00a0 Fiber Art.<\/em><em>I discovered a new life after sudden sight loss.
