Visit us every Sunday for a new reflection on the goodness we share in our weekly posts.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<h2><strong>Lynda\u2019s Journal of Blessings \u2013 #758\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>&gt;&gt; April&#8217;s Palette &#8211; 3 Poems <\/strong><strong>&lt;&lt;<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><em>Walking by Inner Vision,<\/em> since December 2009.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>My Thoughts<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>April, 5, 2026<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Welcome to Easter Sunday, which happens to be the First Sunday in April 2026.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3>Let&#8217;s celebrate today with a song.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=czSpbcZVMSs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Sing Along with Me!<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Easter Sunday, I am giving a gift of\u00a0 3 poems for this day as we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>Each poem gives a different view, color, mood and experience.<\/p>\n<h3>First, is a <em>TRITINA\u00a0<\/em> poem.<\/h3>\n<p>I wanted to write about my favorite food &#8211; and combine that joyous feeling with\u00a0 the joy of celebrating Easter sun day. This TRITINA\u00a0 poem had 3 words that appear at the end of the\u00a0 lines.\u00a0 Watch for them as you are reading.<\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h2><strong>Eggplant Parmesan &amp; Spaghetti<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>by Lynda McKinney Lambert<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s early morning and I feel hungry for breakfast<\/p>\n<p>but foods like sunny side up eggs or oatmeal don\u2019t tempt me today<\/p>\n<p>so I put on my jacket and slipped into my outdoor shoes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I walked through wet morning grass in my waterproof shoes<\/p>\n<p>when the sun came up in the east, I thought more about breakfast<\/p>\n<p>because this is no ordinary morning, today<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>O,\u00a0Yes! \u00a0This is Resurrection Morning \u2013 today<\/p>\n<p>A voice in the burning bush said, \u201cTake off your Shoes!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can have eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti for breakfast.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEggplant Parmesan with spaghetti\u00a0 is OK for breakfast? Today?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I quickly removed my shoes!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><em>Published:<\/em><\/h5>\n<p><em>_Star Signs: New &amp; Selected Poems,<a href=\"https:\/\/a.cms.omniupdate.com\/11\/?skin=oucampus&amp;account=obu&amp;site=www&amp;action=de&amp;path=\/stories\/blog\/2020\/04\/reflections-on-psalm-46-there-is-a-river.pcf\">\u00a9<\/a><\/em> 2019.<\/p>\n<p>_<em>Walking by Inner Vision Blog<\/em>, <em>\u00a9<\/em> 2017 <em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyndalambert.com\/wordpress\/tritina\/\">Read it Here!<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>The second poem is a FREE-FORM poem that describes the joy of the season in the month of April.<\/h4>\n<p>&#8220;Springtime Gardens\u201d<\/p>\n<p>April\u2019s favorite color must be yellow<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s a golden-haired lady with an artistic flair<\/p>\n<p>who plants sweet-smelling gardens<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Forsythia branches inspire her to<\/p>\n<p>dazzle with the brilliance of sunlit gardens<\/p>\n<p>as she paints a canvas buttery- yellow<\/p>\n<p>Primary colored flowers bloom in April &#8216;s gardens<\/p>\n<p>woven among daffodils\u00a0 in white and yellow<\/p>\n<p>captured like fresh\u00a0 paintings on a canvas<\/p>\n<p>Yellow sun warms the gardener\u2019s hands.<\/p>\n<p>_<\/p>\n<p>This poem is not previously published<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>My Third Poem is a free form poem\u00a0 that describes a state of mind and reflection on Easter Sunday.:<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Easter Sunday Morning<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The early morning choir twitters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Chirps\u00a0 deep inside\u00a0 the dusty bushes <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>accompanied by \u00a0low, long mournful tones<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>of wheels turning against the pavement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A hidden lemon chiffon sun brightens the \u00a0sky<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>somewhere behind \u00a0layers of \u00a0melancholy \u00a0mists &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>softly \u00a0warming the\u00a0 stiff bronze\u00a0 branches<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>of starkly naked springtime trees.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I made no special plans for today,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>no periwinkle blue\u00a0 shoes or silky \u00a0amethyst \u00a0dress<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Instead, I recline on soft linen \u00a0pillows <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>and write on ashen \u00a0journal pages.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tranquil. \u00a0\u00a0I listen and watch.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A gloomy opening of a hillside cave<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>dances through my thoughts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>From somewhere in the Eastern world,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>stories of old dreams continue to be told.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0I contemplate\u00a0 the meaning of this day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0_<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/a.cms.omniupdate.com\/11\/?skin=oucampus&amp;account=obu&amp;site=www&amp;action=de&amp;path=\/stories\/blog\/2020\/04\/reflections-on-psalm-46-there-is-a-river.pcf\">\u00a9<\/a>Lynda McKinney Lambert. Currently I have published six books of non-fiction, memoir, and poetry.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I created exciting courses across the disciplines \u2013 Art \u2013<\/em><br \/>\n<em>English\u00a0 Literature \u2013 Humanities.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My courses were taught on campus during the spring and fall semesters.\u00a0 In the summer, I taught in Salzburg, Austria for a month of travel and studies in several countries in Europe.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>My passions in academia are poetry and fine art.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>After retirement from\u00a0 teaching, I author books and create fine art in Painting\u00a0 and\u00a0 Fiber Art.<\/em><em>I discovered a new life after sudden sight loss.
