Birthday\u00a0 –<\/h3>\n

\u00a0In particular, I’ll be talking about my daughter’s birthday today.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Salome Heather Lambert Mengel, was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, on February 23, 1963.\u00a0 She is our first-born child. Over the years, we welcomed 4 daughters and 1 son into our family.\u00a0 I can highly recommend the joy of raising children, and watching them grow and become beautiful adults over the years.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Recently, , my daughter, Salome’ Heather celebrated her birthday with me at a\u00a0 Syrian restaurant. We like to go at a time that is after the lunch hour, and before the dinner hour.\u00a0 \u00a0This is usually a time\u00a0 when there are less people dining, and we don’t feel rushed.\u00a0 We can sit and talk and enjoy our meal.\u00a0 There was only one other table occupied.\u00a0 With the\u00a0 Syrian music softly in the background, it did not interfere with the peacefulness of talking to each other. We placed our order for our favorite meals, and waited for them to arrive as we sipped our drinks and talked.<\/p>\n

She commented,\u00a0 “I am sixty-three today and\u00a0 was born in the year, 1963.\u00a0 I think that is something to celebrate. ” Of course, I agree.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sixty-Three\u00a0 is a notable number and it’s\u00a0 worth a pause to think more about the meaning of the number, sixty-three.<\/p>\n

Do you know_there are 12 words and phrases in the Bible’s original languages that are recorded exactly 63 times?\u00a0 I thought, this could be something I might want to look into for some future writing projects.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

For my daughter’s birthday, I selected a Psalm that is\u00a0 like her, so beautiful.<\/p>\n

Psalm 63, a psalm that I could read every morning of my life, and begin the day with King David’s WORDS.<\/p>\n

reads of exotic terrain<\/p>\n

considers reverberating sounds<\/p>\n

Pulsing, lively voices<\/p>\n

rising rapidly<\/p>\n

remembers interior nightmares<\/p>\n

songs of silent tragic warriors<\/p>\n

photographic reminders of reality.<\/p>\n

Colorful painted fingernails<\/p>\n

self-care is a lifeline to the soul.<\/p>\n

Scent of patchouli permeates the room<\/p>\n

refreshes a strong mind<\/p>\n

rescued from reality.<\/p>\n

Note About my\u00a0 Blessing Articles:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

In 2026, I am authoring a weekly article on my blog\u00a0 Walking by Inner Vision<\/a> This is a collection of non-fiction stories based on the theme of \u201cGod\u2019s Blessings.\u201d I publish one every Sunday, and plan to create a book for publication in 2027.\u00a0 I am creating the book simultaneously, with each week\u2019s focus and essay, here on the blog.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Writing a sequence of short essays, or memoirs, requires discipline and foresight.\u00a0 As I begin to author the essay for the week, I never know in advance what I will be writing.\u00a0 I wait to see what God has in mind for me to talk about.\u00a0 Often, the theme does not come to my mind until Saturday. In fact, I begin writing without knowing where it will eventually lead me. I think of it as a little journey that begins with no destination in mind.\u00a0 As I travel down the distant pathway, the theme begins to weave a story that will eventually be an article like the one you are reading right now. I walk in faith, knowing that before Sunday arrives, the theme will be established and my article will be submitted for publishing on my\u00a0 blog.<\/p>\n

Themes are so much like my springtime journeys and the joy of\u00a0 walking on a beach looking for shells.<\/p>\n

Though I am\u00a0 retired from my\u00a0 long-distance and international travels and teaching adventures, I am still faithfully searching for objectives every day and waiting for God to lead me to the theme for my writing projects.<\/p>\n

In the same way that I walked with my students\u00a0 on the beaches in Puerto Rico, , eventually, I still discover the\u00a0 beautiful shells among the faithful words in my stories and poems.<\/p>\n

Daily Action Plan<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

  1. Stop right here and ask God to speak to you as you begin to read His Word, the Holy Bible.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Be still and quiet, as you begin to read\u00a0 today.\u00a0 \u00a0God speaks to us, as we are reading His Words.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Read Psalm 63 in your favorite version of the Holy Bible.\u00a0 I like to read aloud, as it fortifies the words in my mind.\u00a0 You will be aware of a lot of mental clutter as\u00a0 you begin to quiet your MIND to read.\u00a0 This is normal.\u00a0 Settle yourself down, and begin to read.\u00a0 For me, reading the scriptures aloud takes me to the quiet place where I experience God speaking through hiss word.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      3,. Select one line or thought that speakes to you as you are reading.\u00a0 Write it down and review it or speak it aloud several times during the day.\u00a0 Perhaps read that one verse aloud before going to sleep tonight.\u00a0 See what happens when you speak to God before going to sleep.\u00a0 It’s awesome!<\/p>\n

      Below is the message I wrote in my journal at the end of December 2022.<\/p>\n

      “Two more days before I get my “ONE WORD” for 2023.\u00a0 Two more days to live with my 2022 word, “Evergreen.” I have had\u00a0 eight years of choosing ONE WORD for the year at this time.\u00a0 I have learned so much by doing this.\u00a0 Each year I find that the word takes me on journeys and gives me new ideas and wisdom. I grow and expand in new ways.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

      _Daily Action Plan<\/h3>\n

      As you read Psalm 63, think\u00a0 about the individual things you would put into the form of a song.\u00a0 You can use King David’s Psalm 63, for some ideas of how you could also write a song to God. Sing your song out loud today as you praise God for all that he has gifted you with over the birthday’s you have enjoyed with family and friends.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      What inspired me to begin writing blog posts about BLESSINGS?<\/strong><\/p>\n

      In\u00a0 November 2025, I participated in a 21-day challenge to write three blessings each day (for 21 days) I began to see blessings in my life every day.\u00a0 Perhaps blessings were always there, but at this time I became aware of them because I was thinking about writing them down.\u00a0 When we can write down important things in our daily life, we can grow significantly in our spiritual walk with God.<\/p>\n

      This new awareness of daily blessings has become a template for living.<\/p>\n

      Thus, my awareness has led me to share what I am learning and receiving. I have discovered that my days are so much better since I began to look forward to those discoveries.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
