Lynda’s Journal of Blessing\u00a0 – #744 – A Leap of Faith<\/h3>\n

December 28, 2025<\/p>\n

My blessing today is A Leap of Faith.<\/p>\n

\n
At this time in 2014<\/h5>\n
I was introduced to a new idea<\/h5>\n
One Word for the New Year, 2015<\/h5>\n<\/blockquote>\n

My cousin, Kay, told me her pastor challenged the\u00a0 congregation to try doing this for the new year.\u00a0 She told me her One Word for the year would be “joy.”\u00a0 I thought that was a great idea, and I did as she said.\u00a0 I asked God to give me One Word, for 2015.<\/p>\n

The One Word he gave me was<\/h5>\n

EXUBERANT<\/em><\/h2>\n

Exuberant?<\/p>\n

What?<\/p>\n

I’ll be real.<\/p>\n

I had no idea what that word even meant. I had to do my homework, and find out what the One Word meant, so I could move forward to live by that WORD.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Since that\u00a0 first experience, each year I get the One Word from God that will be my guiding Word for the New Year.\u00a0 I’ve had this experience of Divine Delivery of One Word for eleven consecutive years.<\/p>\n

Each year it is a leap of faith for me because I anticipate\u00a0 and wonder what that One Word may be.\u00a0 For the previous eleven years, I have not received my One Word until the morning on New Year’s Day.<\/p>\n

It’s different this year though.\u00a0 My One Word for 2026 was actually given to me about 3 weeks ago!\u00a0 I’ve been holding it “close too my heart” and keeping it a secret, just to be sure I do have it already.\u00a0 I’ll know for sure on January 1st.<\/p>\n

On January 1, 2026 I’ll celebrate TWELVE YEARS of receiving ONE WORD for the entire year.<\/p>\n

A Dozen Years!\u00a0 A Dozen Words!<\/em><\/h4>\n

I will take A Leap of Faith on New Year’s Day.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Lord, I choose to take a leap of faith today. I will trust you to guide me. Take me to the hidden\u00a0 places that you have already prepared for me.\u00a0 \u00a0I am thankful for you will give me courage. I can put my trust in you alone to expand my horizons to see the brilliant plan you prepared for my delight today.\u00a0 Amen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

_My Daily Action Plan:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I will not think about what my One Word will be and try to think my way to it.<\/p>\n

This plan requires trust, not research and planning.<\/p>\n

God’s plan\u00a0 requires a leap of faith.<\/p>\n

God will answer me when I come to him with questions and conversations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
