{"id":17407,"date":"2025-06-27T09:05:18","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T13:05:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lyndalambert.com\/wordpress\/?p=17407"},"modified":"2025-06-27T09:33:46","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T13:33:46","slug":"lyndas-journal-submit-and-share","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lyndalambert.com\/wordpress\/lyndas-journal-submit-and-share\/","title":{"rendered":"Lynda&#8217;s Journal &#8211; Submit and Share"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>From Lynda\u2019s Journal<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Submit and Share<\/em><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<em>\u00a0<\/em>Today\u2019s post is #702<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>My literary journey began <\/em><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>with my <\/em><em>first published story in 1980.<\/em><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><em>Monday, June 27, 2025<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From my first published \u00a0essay \u00a0in 1980, I\u2019ve always\u00a0 had work published nationally, and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>This is probably because I started painting in 1976, with a teacher who taught me from the first stroke on the canvas, that I was painting\u00a0\u00a0 for an audience.<\/p>\n<p>She told me the steps to take, and that my first painting would be going to an art exhibition\u00a0 at a university gallery.\u00a0\u00a0 Since, I knew nothing about \u00a0art exhibitions, I just believed her and soon, I was delivering my paintings to art galleries, museums.\u00a0 \u00a0Art and \u00a0writing\u00a0 need an audience and a place where the audience can view it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I was thinking I could provide some \u00a0basic \u00a0advice for submitting your poems, that can apply to most of the publishers you will be encountering once you start getting your poems out this way.<\/p>\n<p>As a visual artist, we know that our artwork is made for a viewing audience.\u00a0 We don\u2019t make it and then stick it in a closet or slide it under the bed.
