The Poem:
\n<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

In Springtime Gardens<\/p>\n

flowers are coming to bud.<\/p>\n

Wonder lives in the shadow of<\/p>\n

glorious hillside shrubbery.<\/p>\n

Beauty labors beside me in<\/p>\n

evening light when I begin<\/p>\n

to consider special floral projects.<\/p>\n

Century-old concrete stairway<\/p>\n

Rhododendron blooming in May<\/p>\n

concealed beneath pinkish purple<\/p>\n

inconspicuousness.<\/p>\n

Through my poems, I\u00a0 celebrate\u00a0 the Creator of our bountiful and expansive\u00a0 created world.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0 celebrate\u00a0 God’s gifts\u00a0 of\u00a0 inspiration, wisdom, truth, peace, comfort, healing, and most important, confirmation of eternal life through Jesus.\u00a0 My poems come to me as I\u00a0 pray and read the scriptures, and reflect on the liveliness of\u00a0 the changing seasons in my rural home in western Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

Lynda McKinney Lambert writes and creates visual art from her vintage home in the Village of Wurtemburg, in Western Pennsylvania. She writes poetry and personal nonfiction essays. She currently has six published books available at all retail booksellers. Her artworks have appeared in international exhibitions, including Japan, New Guinea, Austria, and the United States.\u00a0 Lynda retired from her position as Professor of Fine Art and Humanities at Geneva College in 2008 due to profound sight loss.
