I grew up in a home where flowers surrounded our home and our produce from my father\u2019s garden was enjoyed all year long. While my father tended to his vegetables, I was busy planting flowers and seeds along the edges of his garden, and other places on our property. I bring this love of tending and nature to my poetry.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><em><strong>About the poetry:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Japanese poetic forms seem to me as a perfect way to celebrate the beauty, elegance, and livingness of nature. Because these poems are short, I aim to capture the essence of the natural world where we live.<\/p>\n<p>I love the spareness of the poems because \u00a0it compels me to be clear as I describe personal events, \u00a0private places, \u00a0movements, and \u00a0complexities of nature<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><em><strong>About the book\u2019s title:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p>I discovered this phrase in a little book<em>, Come Away My Beloved<\/em>, by Frances Roberts. It is in a little book of private meditations.\u00a0 The book was gifted to me in 1973, and I still read it regularly for inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>My work is focused on passage of time, timelessness, nature, \u00a0landscape, travel and \u00a0celebration of life and culture.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><em><strong>3 Reviews:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p><em>#1<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Lynda McKinney Lambert&#8217;s new collection of 140 short poems,\u00a0 <em>Each Day Holds Some \u00a0Small Joy,&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0is an \u00a0extension of Lynda as the artist and writer.
