~ Partridge Breasted Aloe ~<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Let\u2019s celebrate\u00a0 the Creator of our bountiful Earth, in February.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0 celebrate\u00a0 God’s gifts\u00a0 that bring inspiration, wisdom, truth, peace, comfort, healing, and most important, confirmation\u00a0 of eternal life.<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Poem:<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

<\/h5>\n
<\/h5>\n
\u201cPartridge Breasted Aloe\u201d<\/em><\/h5>\n

 <\/p>\n

She thrust her pointed daggers<\/p>\n

upward and outward<\/p>\n

concave deep green leaves<\/p>\n

adorned with white spots<\/p>\n

front and back.<\/p>\n

Basks in winter sunshine.<\/p>\n

from a center core at the base<\/p>\n

spiny and plump<\/p>\n

with white designs<\/p>\n

on the spruce green leaves.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Winter is flowering season<\/p>\n

one long stem bursts above<\/p>\n

like a quiet barn swallow<\/p>\n

shooting up from the center<\/p>\n

of a rosette in the springtime<\/p>\n

one salmon pink flower<\/p>\n

fills my mornings\u00a0 with a delicate scent<\/p>\n

no fragrance can match<\/p>\n

the fragile beauty of her perfume.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Partridge Breast is a sun worshiper<\/p>\n

thrives in the south-facing window<\/p>\n

prefers to drink less in winter.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Partridge Breast is the Queen of my collection<\/p>\n

succulents and cacti, my delights.<\/p>\n

Partridge Breasted Aloe brings<\/p>\n

a sense of peace to my home.<\/p>\n

When spring rains turn towards<\/p>\n

Summer\u2019s cat-like days<\/p>\n

my succulent friends spend their<\/p>\n

vacation on my sun-drenched porch<\/p>\n

where no grooming is necessary.<\/p>\n
