“Orchestrated Performances”
\n<\/em><\/h4>\n

Orchestrated performances<\/p>\n

Aerial musicians and singers<\/p>\n

atmospheric performers beyond<\/p>\n

thick fair-haired forsythia hedge<\/p>\n

on chilly wet morning.<\/p>\n

I glance upwards towards eastern<\/p>\n

alabaster skyline<\/p>\n

searching for overhead flights.<\/p>\n

My feet sink gently<\/p>\n

into soft wet grass<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I lead the way<\/p>\n

two dogs in tandem<\/p>\n

sniffing a fresh trail<\/p>\n

left by a grey squirrel.<\/p>\n

I stoop to touch dainty yellow daffodil<\/p>\n

near the early spring treeline<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We stop, listen to steady<\/p>\n

riveting beats<\/p>\n

speculate<\/p>\n

ambitious woodpecker<\/p>\n

urges attention.<\/p>\n

A single wild goose<\/p>\n

yells<\/p>\n

glides swiftly over<\/p>\n

rushing grey-green stream<\/p>\n

beyond the stark curly willow tree<\/p>\n

my husband planted in this meadow<\/p>\n

sixteen years ago.<\/p>\n

The Backstory begins with <\/em>My Mission Statement:<\/em><\/h4>\n

I write from personal, intimate experiences from a Christian Worldview.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

In art and writing,\u00a0 I reveal what is lost, forgotten or invisible.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

*<\/strong><\/h1>\n

This poem was written from my memory notes after I came back to the house following a walk with my dogs.\u00a0\u00a0 As I walk, I am taking close\u00a0 mental notes that I will carry back with me and I use those notes when I sit down to begin to write a poem.\u00a0 I pay special attention to each of my senses, and store away that information\u00a0 that I can recall later.<\/p>\n

During National Poetry Month, on April 3, 2023, <\/em>I wrote this poem.\u00a0 Here, you have an inside view of how a particular morning looked that day at my home.<\/em><\/p>\n
