Wind-slanted<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Brisk morning perceptions are<\/p>\n

Easter Saturday revelations.<\/p>\n

I contemplate the stark Norway Maple tree<\/p>\n

Compare the textures of limbs and trunk<\/p>\n

Contrast shapes of blue sky-holes<\/p>\n

between\u00a0 scribbled branches<\/p>\n

Discover the majesty of a long life.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On Easter Saturday morning<\/p>\n

Slick frost overlays grassy carpets<\/p>\n

along clean-swept\u00a0 concrete sidewalk.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I walk around\u00a0 rock-lined circular beds<\/p>\n

of thick spruce green pachysandra<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I remember the child who<\/p>\n

climbed into a massive old apple tree<\/p>\n

searching for God among the<\/p>\n

slippery rain-slick branches.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It feels like this one – wind-slanted<\/p>\n

towards the brighter south-east<\/p>\n

deeply anchored in dark soil.<\/p>\n

A broken green umbrella<\/p>\n

unfurling on Easter Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
