Erasures reveal endless<\/p>\n
fabrications<\/p>\n
garnered in dusty corners behind<\/p>\n
hushed vowels and<\/p>\n
illuminated nouns.<\/p>\n
Joyfully, I count my splendid<\/p>\n
keepsakes – a lengthy<\/p>\n
list of favorite words. The<\/p>\n
musings of my octogenarian year<\/p>\n
never tolerates \u00a0nouns that are<\/p>\n
obscure. I often reflect on<\/p>\n
perpetual<\/p>\n
queries about long-forgotten<\/p>\n
red rose bouquets \u00a0from a distant<\/p>\n
summertime.<\/p>\n
Timelessness remains an illusion<\/p>\n
until liturgical prayers begin at<\/p>\n
vespers.<\/p>\n
Warm spring sunshine \u00a0lifts my spirit.<\/p>\n
Xenias\u00a0 \u00a0remind me to be generous, in Greek.<\/p>\n
Yet, \u00a0I chant a litany of<\/p>\n
Zeitgeist \u00a0essence. My favorite words.<\/p>\n
