stony paths<\/p>\n

disappear beneath my feet<\/p>\n

I am the darkness<\/p>\n

of ginkgo trees<\/p>\n

and indigo skies<\/p>\n

The Backstory<\/strong><\/em><\/h1>\n

This poem is a perspective of the landscape and my own recognition of time and season in Western Pennsylvania. I live in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains.\u00a0 As I walk my dogs, I am paying attention to every detail, sound, and sight. I want to remember the sensations so I can bring them back home with me. The aspects of nature are so subtle as it mingles with my own body and life.<\/p>\n

Life happens in layers of imagery. It is multi-layered, and this sense of the passing time is what I distill\u00a0 in my poetry.<\/p>\n

This poem is a perspective of winter time in Western Pennsylvania where I have lived my entire life. As I walk my dogs, I am paying attention to every detail, sound, and sight.<\/p>\n

I focus on the color, red, in my world and in my memories.<\/p>\n

I combined memories of people, with our landscape.\u00a0 Life happens in layers of imagery. It is multi-layered, and this sense of the passing of time is what I distill\u00a0 in my poetry.<\/p>\n
