we watch<\/p>\n

for the first<\/p>\n

snowfall<\/p>\n

wait for<\/p>\n

silent\u00a0passage<\/p>\n

along the banks of<\/p>\n

ancient creeks<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

dull morning light<\/p>\n

conceals<\/p>\n

gold-plated Ginkgo leaves<\/p>\n

beneath<\/p>\n

new-fallen snow<\/p>\n

The Backstory<\/strong><\/em><\/h1>\n

Authors Comment<\/p>\n

In this\u00a0 poem, “first snow,” readers get a private\u00a0 perspective of winter time in Western Pennsylvania.\u00a0 I have lived my entire life here.\u00a0 This poem reflects the anticipation of the first snowfall of the season.<\/p>\n

a passage between the external world and the world within;<\/p>\n

a destination or place;<\/p>\n

an abode where body, mind and spirit synchronize with natural elements.<\/p>\n
