Lynda’s presentation will focus on\u00a0 her latest collection of poetry, stories, meditations, and journal reflections<\/p>\n

*** BIO of LYNDA MCKINNEY LAMBERT<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lynda McKinney Lambert was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania where she still resides.<\/p>\n

She received a B.F.A in Painting , M.A. in English, and M.F.A. in Painting. She is a retired professor of fine arts and humanities, Geneva College.<\/p>\n

She lectured in Humanities and taught English Literature and Studio Art courses as a tenured professor.<\/p>\n

Lynda led annual\u00a0 month-long travel\/study courses in drawing and writing every summer in Austria. She also taught travel-study courses in Arizona and Puerto Rico during spring semesters on campus for many years at the college.<\/p>\n

She took students on travel\/study trips to Germany, Austria, England, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., and Arizona.<\/p>\n

In addition to a rigorous teaching schedule she created artwork at\u00a0 her River Road Studio that appears in exhibitions in regional, national and international art exhibitions. After sight loss in 2007, she created new ways of making artwork using sophisticated technologies for the blind. Just four years after losing most of her sight, she had a solo exhibition of\u00a0 her pottery and mixed-media fiber art works at the Merrick Art Gallery, New Brighton, PA.<\/p>\n

For the past eight years Lynda’s artwork was\u00a0 selected by art jurors for inclusion in the InSights exhibitions sponsored by the American Printing House for the Blind in Louisville, KY.\u00a0 Lynda’s art consistently wins awards and it is purchased and collected by individual patrons, as well as , museum collections.<\/p>\n

Lynda’s photography is included among her writings throughout the book!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Lynda’s\u00a0 first literary publication was in 1981, when her story about her pet Red Bellied Macaw, Beaver, was published in American Cage Bird Magazine.<\/p>\n

She began writing poetry during her final year at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where she was working on her B.F.A. degree in Painting. Her first poetry publications began in 1989, while she was pursuing her M. F.A degree in Painting at West Virginia University.<\/p>\n

Lynda married Charles R. (Bob) Lambert, April 14, 1961.\u00a0 They have 5 children; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n
