There is a gentle change that begins relatively unnoticed as the nights start to cool down.

I try to memorize the landscape so I can carry back those observations, feelings, and physical aspects of a day or particular moment. Often, I pay attention as I sit in my Amish rocking chair on the porch. I look out over the fenced-in garden area. I listen carefully for little rustlings in the shady areas, the swift movements of a bird taking flight, and the sounds coming from the creek just below the ridge.

This poem comes from those observations, and I organized it into the ABECEDARIAN form. Each line begins with a letter of the alphabet. A careful reading will reveal the letters of the alphabet going down the left side of the poem, from A to Z.

What do you think?

Would you like to try writing an ABECEDARIAN POEM?

I begin by making a vertical line down my page, starting with “A” and ending with “Z.”

<<<<2022>>>>

*

Get Lynda’s latest book!

NEW – Songs for the Pilgrimage: Apple Books

Lynda’s books at Bookshop.org

Lynda’s e-Books at Smashwords

Lynda’s Books at Amazon

May – August – Read it NOW!

Lynda’ August Newsletter, Issue #4 is now Published!

Published August 31, 2022.

*

Want to CATCH UP?

January – April ~ Read it Here.

Newsletters & Interviews Here.

©Lynda McKinney Lambert, 2022.
